Dial 988 - Zen.Solas (2024)

-
Dial 988 is my latest project completed inspired by my participation in @kr8tiveuprisinginc Exhibition “Secret Asylum: A Frame of Mind”.

I wanted to remind myself and my community to continue to take our medicine. To continue to heal ourselves with the natural means we have access to. And also to remind us to ask for help when we become overwhelmed with living.

I was inspired by my own struggles with my mental health, America’s growing opioid epidemic + pharmaceutical culture, nature and the strengthening of my will to live.

I hope it brings you light wherever it may find you. And reminds you to continue taking your meds and keep fighting. by @zen.solas

Cat life update: Raising a kitten is not for the weak. Cute and cuddly, yes, but if you’re not ready for the “idgaf” attitude don’t do it. Because how did I become a mattress? by @zen.solas

I had food poisoning last week and was reminded that even in hard times, I love how @daise1304 and I always manage to create little pockets of joy and peace.

I normally share my life on my stories, but I figured .. "let's start posting". SN: Electrolytes are your best friend and laughter is great medicine. by @zen.solas

Hey yall! I'm currently on medical leave so I gotta find ways to keep myself entertained while I'm in recovery.

Figured getting back to creating for me would be the best thing right now..so enjoy these random BTS of what's happening in my life.

I have a few more weeks ahead of me, so I'm excited to see what life looks like when the focus is just on me for a while.

Sn: I hope you all are doing well in your respective bubbles. ✌ by @zen.solas

The downside searching for light externally is that you forget how much good energy already exists in your own little sphere. That the light seen in others was a reflection of the one held within. That the joy in life really is here in the now. That your peace + overall wellbeing is really to be protected above all else.

Started romanticizing life again and 33 started with so much bittersweetness, I’m just here to soak in all the abundance I’ve been blessed with. by @zen.solas

I created the name zen.solas as an artist name with the intent that it would give me the freedom to showcase the duality in me.

Zen 🌙 ( Divine Feminine) + Solas ☀️(Divine Masculine).

The irony was that as I deep dived more into my psyche, I learned that in astrology my Sun and Moon are both in Taurus🙃.

Same energy in different fonts 😩. Loyal, Sensual, Grounded, Stubborn, Unyielding, A True Bull.

I wanted to take pictures of me for my big day. So this is what a 2am creative burst birthed. I was inspired by an old photoset of mine and Minnie Riperton’s flawless baby’s breath crown…fast forward mini photoshoot in the house.

Slowly and surely getting back into creating for me. Hope this inspires someone to do the same for themselves.

Happy birthday kid. I love you. Here’s to another year of manifesting our wildest dreams into reality. #taurustings

Called out and immersed myself in the Arts because my spirit needed more than spreadsheet and limited views.

And I’m encouraging you to do the same. I’m encouraging you to prioritize you.

If you happen to be in the Tampa Bay Area the @tampamuseumofart has this really cool exhibit up.

The installation takes you through a day at the beach sun rise to sun set with various views and angles changing every few minutes. The full experience creates the most beautiful pocket of peace. This one is mine, as always I hope you find yours. #art #peace #wellbeing by @zen.solas
