Healing happens here, and we’re so honored to be part of this beautiful food as medicine movement in our beloved community!

Meet Rusty and Arnie — our new mammoth donkey residents! These gentle giants are basically horse-sized… but with the most adorable, oversized ears you’ve ever seen.
Their story actually began long before they came to Zen Donkey. A wonderful couple rescued them years ago when they were skin-and-bones from a hoarding situation. For over a decade, Rusty and Arnie were loved like children. But when serious family health challenges arose, their humans made the heartbreaking yet incredibly selfless decision to find them a new forever home where they could still live their very best lives.
After visiting us, touring the farm, and lots of long talks, they chose Zen Donkey as Rusty and Arnie’s next (and final) chapter. We are so deeply honored that they trusted us to step into their shoes and love these boys for the rest of their days.
So thank you — truly — to this kind, big-hearted couple who put their donkeys’ happiness above their own aching hearts. That kind of love doesn’t go unnoticed.
Now Rusty and Arnie get to spend their golden years right here, bringing healing, joy, and giant-ear smiles to everyone who meets them.

A deeply personal share ❤️‍🩹

To everyone following our pregnancy with our second baby (a 🩵BOY🩵) — we’re leaning on your prayers now more than ever.

After a series of tests, we’ve confirmed a Trisomy 13 diagnosis 💔 We’re told it’s rare and random, and not compatible with life. We’re heartbroken, but holding onto faith that there’s meaning in this that will one day be revealed.

Most T-13 babies don’t survive to full term, and if born alive, fewer than 5% make it through their first year. There’s a lot of uncertainty ahead. But we’re praying for a healing miracle — they happen every day!

We believe this little soul was sent to us for a reason. We’re asking for continued prayers for a healthy baby, but we trust God — and if that’s not the plan, we ask for the most merciful outcome for our son and our family. Our motto: if he’s still moving, we’re still hoping 🙏🏻

Thank you for holding us through this unimaginable season.
