Sharing a thought today...

I always view this life with curiosity and openness. However, in the past, I found myself trapped in labels. Like thinking loving writing means I can only be a writer (my childhood dream 😌) or believing teaching yoga confines me to just yoga.

It’s great to pursue passions, but let’s not box ourselves in. We’re capable of more than we realise.

The same goes for fitness; don’t think you can only do one workout and not another.

Labels can hold us back. People change over time, through circumstances, and living conditions. Our mindset and habits can evolve.

So why not allow ourselves the freedom to embrace new experiences that life offers?

—/🇻🇳

👉🏼 Support the release of oxytocin hormone

Got 15 mins to spare? Let’s work on that core🤰🏻✨

As a Pilates instructor trained in prenatal, I’ve seen how the right core exercises can work wonders and support mums-to-be throughout pregnancy.

Hug the Baby/ 360° breathing is a great place to start. Focus on breathing into your ribs, back and sides while gently engaging your deep core and pelvic floor.
As you exhale, think “lift and gently engage” rather than squeezing hard or holding your breath. You can do this sitting and standing but kneeling is my personal favourite!

5 exercises focus on:
👉🏼 Deep core and pelvic stability
👉🏼 Obliques and lateral core strength
👉🏼 Balance and coordination

Aim for: 10–15 reps per exercise × 2–3 rounds

When I found out I was pregnant, I promised myself I wouldn’t stop exercising, especially running as long as there were no complications🏃🏻‍♀️🤰🏻
As the tiredness increased and my heart rate got noticeably higher during pregnancy, I gradually adjusted my running routine and listened to my body.

Here’s what I did:

👉🏼1st trimester: 2–3 runs/week. Easy pace. Mostly 5–7K runs. No races.
👉🏼2nd trimester: 2 runs/week, easy slow pace. Mostly 5K runs. One 10K race.
👉🏼3rd trimester: 1–2 runs/week. Mostly 3–5K slow runs + walks. No races.

I stopped running when I was close to 36 weeks because of lightning crotch. It was really uncomfortable, and I didn’t want to push myself.

Pregnancy is hard enough, so learn to adapt and be kind to yourself! by @zenwith.hien
