We’ve arranged a guided Narrows adventure with our partners at @ZionAdventures. We highly recommend picking up your equipment the evening before your tour to make for an easy start the next morning. Your guided tour includes all necessary gear, but if you’d rather explore on your own, you can also rent Narrows equipment and head out independently.

Don’t forget to bring:
• Snacks
• Water
• Sunscreen
• A small dry bag for valuables

Great news for anyone planning to visit Zion today — the East Entrance is reopening Tuesday, October 6 at 9:00 AM following last week’s major rockslide.

Visitors entering from the east will be able to:

🚗 Drive the Zion–Mount Carmel Highway
🚇 Travel through the large Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel
📍 Continue to the Great Arch Overlook
📸 Stop at designated roadside pullouts to enjoy the scenery and take photos
🆓 Enter from the east at no charge

⚠️ Important: You will need to turn around at the Great Arch Overlook and exit back through the east side.

The east entrance does NOT provide access to the main Zion Canyon or shuttle system. If you want to visit the main canyon, you’ll still need to enter through Springdale.

🚫 Canyoneering permits are also not being issued for canyons accessed from the Zion–Mount Carmel Highway at this time due to delayed emergency response.

Kane County personnel will also be assisting with traffic management, patrols and emergency response.

East Zion is open again — but please be patient, stay alert and follow all current park instructions.

Day 1 pick up Narrows gear with @zionadventuresutah zazc5 5% off

Since the canyon overlook is closed because of the rock fall I love the sunset at

1. Behind the museum stop 2 you can park there.
2. Grafton ghost town
3. Lambsknoll picnic table
4. Northgate peaks in Kolob “bring flashlights”

Day 2 if you rented the e-bikes bike up with the narrows gear already on no point on bringing all of your shoes in my opinion.

Sunset @zionjeeptours get the private tour and ask for the dinosaur tracks but they really have it down to a science my favorite family trip we reserve these left and right because how many happy families come from this.

🏔️ THE 4 SECTIONS OF ZION NATIONAL PARK 🏔️

Did you know Zion is much bigger than just the main canyon? When planning your trip, it helps to understand the different areas of the park and how they connect.

🟠 1. KOLOB TERRACE ROAD
Explore the quieter western side of Zion with incredible high-elevation scenery, overlooks, hiking, and access toward the Subway area.

🟠 2. HWY 9 / SCENIC DRIVE
The famous road through East Zion takes you through some of the park’s most dramatic scenery, including Checkerboard Mesa, Canyon Overlook, and the Zion–Mount Carmel Tunnel.

🟠 3. ZION CANYON / SHUTTLE
This is the area most visitors think of when they picture Zion. The shuttle takes you deep into the canyon toward iconic adventures like Angels Landing, Emerald Pools, Weeping Rock, and The Narrows.

🟠 4. KOLOB CANYONS
Located in the northwest section of the park, Kolob Canyons offers towering red cliffs, scenic overlooks, hiking trails, and a much quieter experience than the main canyon.
