My soundtrack to Season 3 of Dead City is out today via @lakeshorerecords . I can honestly say that this was my favorite season we’ve done: from the story to the performances, and of course to the new musical doors that were opened. It was so much fun to be a one-man rock band for a lot of these tracks, tracking distorted bass & guitar, and drums. While also getting to collaborate with some amazing musicians like Kieran, Paul, and the Arnema Orchestra.

Thank you to my incredible music team for all of the effort & passion they put into this. And of course an enormous thank you to Seth, @jeffreydeanmorgan , @laurencohan , @scottmgimple & @amcplus for having me back for another round!

The season is now streaming on amc & the season finale airs this Sunday!

Hurricane- out Sept.4th, 2026- a collaboration between @zlust and myself.

I came up with the guitar part in spring of 2024, and over the last two years Zoë and I have had a lot of voice notes and video calls to get it just right.

This summer, in July of 2026, I went to @shelterislandsound to record guitars first, and then later in August, to mix with @addabbosteve. During the course of the day Steve had the brilliant idea of putting chord organ on the track, and we quickly recorded what I came up with, something that was the perfect choice, and I’m so glad Steve nudged the track in that direction.

The cover art is from an old painting of mine, that is much larger, created in 1998… you just never know where your art is going to take you, or wind up down the road.. Zoë and I decided it was the right fit for the song, and the flowers themselves kind of remind me of what hurricanes sometimes are depicted as on weather maps. (Thank you @ireneshapes for the idea to re-photograph the art and focus in on a few flowers. Sometimes we really do need a nudge here and there from our creative neighborhood, because music is, after all a neighborhood.)

I wish I could post every photo from our incredible @theawfc event at AIR Studios (who knows, maybe I will).

Way back in 2022, I had the hook "call me the devil" and an idea for a track. @honeycutrocks and I did a writing session together, where Ash made every lyric so much more poignant and shaped it into a masterpiece. @robinton_hobbs & I took the production from zero to hero, and we succeeded in making the dark pop meets modern rock track that previously only existed in dreams.

thank you to @ihultquist & @sofiadeglialessandri / @drumandlace for giving us the space to finally finish this track.
