Nearly ten years ago, a younger version of me wrote this song.Standing in front of a mural I never could have imagined creating back then, I hear those same lyrics differently.It feels like that younger me came back; not to ask if we made it, but to salute me as a witness. To thank me for surviving what she couldn’t see coming. For creating anyway. For believing anyway. This past weekend reminded me that the blueprint has never been outside of us. It’s the quiet knowing. The vision that keeps returning. The idea that asks to be trusted before anyone else can see it. One of the biggest takeaways from the Blueprint Conference wasn’t just hearing people talk about business, fashion, or entrepreneurship; it was witnessing what faith in action actually looks like.Watching @ariel.meii take an idea from vision... to planning... to execution... and create a space where creatives, entrepreneurs, and community could gather was a masterclass in bringing what’s inside into the physical world. 🌎 It reminded me that every meaningful thing I’ve created started the same way. Long before there was a mural, a song, a performance, or a painted garment, there was simply an inner blueprint.Even the dress I’m wearing is a reminder of that. I hand-painted it years ago, tucked it away in my archive, and almost left it behind. Somehow it ended up becoming one of the stars of the evening. Funny how the things we’re called to create have a way of returning exactly when they’re meant to.Thank you, Ariel, for showing us what it looks like to trust the vision all the way through.
