Lake District photo dump 🏔️🎣
Couldn’t have asked for a better kayak maiden voyage… what a fish to land 😮‍💨🔥 Plus a few more solid ones mixed in.
Safe to say the @hartfishing_official Harris became a pike favourite 👀🐊

❗️PB PERCH❗️

This was a very special fish, it came out of a river 200 miles away from home that I fished twice, blanking big time the first time. Super pressured river too.

It wasn't the intended species as well, and even though I knew they were swimming there, I wasn't really expecting a PB.

7 hour drive, 2 hours sleep the night before, but it was totally worth the grind.

At 43cm and touching 3lb, it wasn't shy at all to hit a @keitech_uk Swing Impact Fat in 4.8"

Again, big thank you to @hook_catch_release super helpful guy who basically guided me throughout the day, helping me catch a zander and a PB perch on the same day 🙏

Sometimes we catch fish, sometimes Mother Nature has other plans… 😆🌧️🎣

Anyone else out fishing when the storm hit? 😂

What a fun session this turned out to be! 🎣

What started as a target pike session quickly flipped to perch when I saw how active they were on the water. That's why taking a versatile combo pays off 👌

Landed plenty of perch including a few solid fish. And to top it off, the pike still made an appearance on the light perch tackle! 👌🔥

Do you normally change tactics mid session? Let me know in the comments!

Unlocking new water! 🎣

The Hart Ecosystem 2-8g paired with the Shimano Nexave 1000 was the ultimate light setup for exploring this stretch of canal. A few nice fish on the bank to start off the new venue can’t really complain!

A different kind of session, fishing a carp fishery for pike from the kayak. 🎣🛶

The bladed jig has been one of my favourite lures for the past 4 or 5 years, and for good reason. Even on the toughest days, it seems to have a way of triggering the most reluctant fish! 👊

There's something special about catching pike from the kayak, getting right into their world!

Also running the Gomexus reel handle on my Shimano SLX DC.

That's what a healthy pike looks like 🐊

Built like a tank and put up a proper fight on the kayak 💪🔥

Every fish has a story to tell, but not all of them have had it easy.

This pike came in looking lean and clearly carrying the marks of a tough past. It’s a stark reminder of just how resilient these predators really are at surviving, hunting, and pushing through whatever life in the water throws at them.
Treat every catch with respect. Handle them with care, unhook them cleanly, and give them the best chance to keep writing their story. 🎣🐊
