you can have things done fast, done cheap, or done well.
but you can’t have all 3.

fast + cheap = not done well
done well + fast = not going to be cheap
cheap + done well = not going to be fast

and these days everything is giving FAST and CHEAP 🥱 I want quality and intention behind things. not turnover trends, mass packaging, and cheap materials. Idk what’re your thoughts?

it takes me an hour to leave my house sometimes

not because I’m not ready or I’m slow. but if something feels out of place, I have to fix it, my brain won’t just let me walk out and do it later.

a dish in the sink, throw blankets not put away, dog toys are out, the garage looks a little dirty.

big house (why’d I want it idk?) big yard, two dogs, ducks, something is ALWAYS out of place. sometimes I feel stuck, cleaning, re-cleaning, even if hire cleaners, I’ll clean everything they won’t, re-checking, running late on to my own plans sometimes.

this is what anxiety and OCD can look like for me, not cute or fun, but actually fucking exhausting.

Cannabiş has been one of the best ways for me to quiet that loop. will I take 4 dabs before leaving the house, yeah. will I actually go get my coffee I wanted 3 hours ago, yup.
and not to check out but to check in and help me take a second and look around and say “things are fine, just leave it, it’s not going anywhere”

my house doesn’t have to look staged. like I never have people over anyways!?!? it’s supposed to look lived in, because it is. it’s my home and evidence of life and hobbies I love.

this is what intentional use means to me 🍃🌿

not escaping my life at all but being able to live it more fully.
