Sometimes it feels like we're never able to dedicate as much time as we want to building out our little shop, but it has helped us remind ourselves we really did do all that this year (•̀ᴗ•́ )و

Shout out in the comments if there was something you really loved from us this year that you'd like to see on our online shop?

This year we definitely learned to prioritize the events we felt like were where our people were at ✌️while balancing trying out new things and seeing what worked for us! We’re very happy with what we managed to accomplish in literal miles but also happy we didn’t overbook ourselves and get too burnt out 😅 2025 was for sure a good year for meeting a lot of wonderful new faces and we hope we maybe get to see you again in 2026!! 🥹👉👈
Thank you especially to all the event organizers, you know who you are and how much your work made our events truly memorable 🥳✨

A little recap series of how our past year went! Not every business’s year looks the same and sometimes we feel a little under the curve especially on social media 😅 But proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish and a big thank you to everyone who has been a part of ours this year! 🥹🥹 Here’s to 2026!

I can't believe it's over but thank you. A comparison of the first banner illustration I did back during COVID, to the modified one for last weekend's goodbye "sunset" event, appropriately more sunset-y 🌇 (I still have some left and will have them at our next few events till we run out!)

Send Chinatown Love (@sendchinatownlove) has meant so much to me in the past five years it's difficult to capture everything. To me, newly graduated into a dark, isolated world, SCL was a welcome beacon of optimism and meaningful change. It introduced me to wonderful, passionate, and talented folks, and showed our city the impact of compassion in the face of violence. SCL made me realize my own strengths in our fight and deeply cherish the roots of my own community.

It was, and still is, a symbol of love during hate, perseverance during uncertainty, and hope during nihilism. SCL's mission continues on in all the other amazing Chinatown nonprofit orgs, love for Chinatown just can't stop! ❤️🫶🥹

“Orange is the Color of...” is an illustration about what the color orange can mean and has meant to me at different points of my life. Orange is often treated as a garish and intense color, but as seen in Subways, sodas, and sweaters, it’s a versatile color that can range from vivid and bold to gentle and cozy. Oftentimes, it’s the citrus of it all that make me associate the color with expressions of love in Chinese culture– especially around the new year. In Canto, tangerine (桔) is a homophone for “luck” (吉) and mandarin oranges (柑) sound like “gold” (金). To me, it feels every bit like an everyman’s gold, a color that has met me at my highs and lows, and symbolizes a lucky, well-loved life I get to live. 🥰

2024 was truly the year of markets for us, with lots of sweat shed along the way!! 👷‍♀️👷‍♀️ Definitely still learning a lot about what makes them work for us, and how to balance designing/crafting/vending with other life responsibilities — but it makes it feel so much more tangibly worth it when we get to meet the cool fucking people irl who vibe with our stuff 🥹 (that's YOU)
Thank you to all the wonderful creatives, makers, organizers and general art admirers we've met this year, you have made this community feel so warm and welcoming. Hoping 2025 can also bring many good things to all of us 🫶✨🫶✨
