40 today! 🎂

At the start of 2025, I promised myself a birthday gift.

5 clean pull-ups.
5 chin-ups.
A 5-second handstand.

Not as a challenge —
but as a commitment to myself.

I’m at 6 pull-ups, 7 chin-ups, and a 3-second handstand.

Not perfect.
Not finished.
But intentional.

I’m proud of what I’ve built.
Proud of the patience.
Proud of the foundation.

As I step into my 40s — and into 2026 —
I’m moving from a place of strength, patience, and trust in what I’ve built.

Happy Birthday, Zee. 💛🐶✨

The Journey Beyond Aesthetics

I’ve lived the dream for 10 years. Touring the world, dancing in front of thousands, but I was quietly losing my health behind the scenes.

I was tired, eating badly, feeling unhealthy, and disconnected from my own body.

I made the decision to take control of my health — to eat better, move better, and feel better.

That shift took me from the stage to the gym, from bodybuilding trophies to building something even more powerful: ZeeFit: Beyond Aesthetics.

Now my mission is to help others — from 20-somethings to 88-year-olds — build pain-free bodies that not only look good, but are functional, capable, and able to move through life with confidence.

Because movement is more than fitness.
It’s freedom.
It’s independence.
It’s your power.

✨ Be your own hero.
⏳ Age on your terms.

Training smarter is learning to work with your body, not just demand more from it.

Knowing when to push.
Knowing when to adjust.
And sometimes, knowing when showing up was enough for today.

That does not mean I train easy. I still challenge myself. I still want to get stronger. And yes, I still want to look good. 😏

I have just learnt that progress does not always come from doing more.

Sometimes, it comes from understanding your body better.

Which one took you the longest to learn?

In the latest edition of “How Karen Tried to Do Us In”… 😂

A blindfolded yoga challenge! 🧘🏽‍♀️

A few choice words were said (in my head, of course! 🤣), but the truth is… I LOVED IT!

Such an eye-opener! 👀 Without sight, even familiar movements felt completely different. It really challenged my concentration and body awareness.

And secretly? I’d absolutely do it again! 😏

A little care looks good on you. 💚

You spend so much time showing up for everyone else. You deserve to be on your own priority list, too.

Swipe through and find a few worth making room for.

What is one thing you will make more time for this week? 👇🏽

I still have too much life to live to be slowing down just yet!

I want to keep playing mas, travelling, dancing, challenging myself and saying yes to new experiences.

That’s why fitness, for me, is about more than looking good. It’s about keeping my body strong and capable enough to enjoy all the things I still want to do.

I’m not just training for today. I’m training for the life I still want to live. 💪🏽

Two 5Ks, two great causes and a weekend well spent! 🏃🏽‍♀️💛

From kicking things off with @sokasweat at the @scotiatt Wellness Race Series 5K to joining the @dsfamilynetwork 5K and Buddy Walk, it was a weekend of showing up, moving together and supporting some wonderful causes.

A little weekend recap! 🎥

2019!!! How time flies when you’re dancing! 💃🏽🔥 by @zulemacharles

I used to have some pretty fixed ideas about what made a workout effective.

Experience has taught me otherwise.

The more I understand my body, the more I realise that training smarter isn’t about doing less. It’s about knowing what you’re doing and why.

We live, we learn, and we train smarter! 💪🏽

Which of these four lessons resonates with you most? 👇🏽

Balance is one of those things you don’t think about… until you need it. 👀

The good news? You can train it.

Challenge it. Practise it. Keep it.

Be honest, when was the last time you actually trained your balance? 👇🏽

I got caught up in looking fit….when I really got into this to be healthy.

The physique. The heavier lifts. The goals. And I am proud of all of it.

But now, I have come full circle.

I want to be strong, mobile, agile and capable enough to keep doing the things I love for as long as I can.

Looking good? Still part of it. 😏
It is just not the whole definition anymore.

What matters most to you right now: looking good, feeling good, performing well… or all three? 👇🏽
