Let’s get REX Rolling Again for His 3rd Birthday! 🔗 LINK in BIO!

REX is turning 3 this December! This year, we want to give him the greatest birthday gift of all: the gift of mobility. REX needs new wheels (a mobility cart and chest plate/ like a wheelchair), and we need your help. 🎁

REX is our beloved disabled rescue pup. If you’ve ever met him, you know that his disability certainly hasn’t limited his personality and movement. REX is full of energy, curiosity, and pure joy. He loves being part of his pack and has so much life to live. REX's first wheelchair allowed him to enjoy the world alongside his family and furry friends, especially at the dog park and outside of his home. REX has since grown and now needs a different solution. ‼️

Because of REX's size, weight, strength, and unique abilities, he needs a customized set of wheels specifically designed to fit and support him. This specialized equipment will give REX the stability and freedom he needs to move comfortably and safely.

Our biggest wish is simple: we want to see REX rolling with his pack again. 🐶 With his birthday coming up in December, we’re hoping to make this new adapted set of wheels possible in time for his big day!

If you’re able to contribute, every donation—big or small—brings REX one step closer to getting back on the move. And if you can’t donate, sharing REX's story can make just as much of a difference. 🫶

Accessible Art for All with AAC CARES & Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art , what an amazing community event! ⤵️

I had the absolute joy of attending the Accessible Art for All event with my kids with AAC CARES & Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art for a beautiful, inclusive experience centered around creativity, connection, and community.

Hosted by AAC Cares in partnership with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, this event was thoughtfully designed for AAC users and their families creating a space where all forms of communication are welcomed, supported, and celebrated.

As a mother of an AAC user, I can’t fully express how meaningful it is to walk into a space that is intentionally inclusive! From the start, the sensory/decompression room gave my kids a chance to get acclimated and take breaks as needed—something that made the entire experience feel accessible and stress-free.

They also had the best time engaging in hands-on activities like designing quilt squares for a community quilt, making bracelets, and even getting their faces painted. It wasn’t just about art, it was about belonging!

It was also wonderful seeing nonregistered families join in and experience the event as well. It created an organic opportunity to share more about AAC, the community it supports, and the importance of inclusive spaces where everyone can create, connect, and feel seen.

We left feeling grateful and so inspired!

After 7 AMAZING years, I’m closing a chapter of my nonprofit work as Founder and Executive Director of NWA GIRL GANG @nwagirlgang .

This work and organization was built with deep care, hundreds of community partnerships, and an unwavering belief in our mission! I’m so incredibly proud of what we accomplished together—from the programs we built to the women and communities we served. The beautiful relationships and connections made along the way will stay with us (and with me) long after this chapter has ended.

I’m deeply grateful to our funders, partners, board members, volunteers, and community who made NWAGG possible. Your trust and support mattered to me more than you know. Thank you for believing in me, for getting to know me, and for ALL the experiences gained over the years.

As this 2025 year comes to a close, I’m taking time to reflect, reset, and step into what’s next for me with intention.

Thank you to everyone who was part of this incredible NWAGG journey. It’s been a honor to work alongside the most creative, talented, caring, and inspiring women - movers, shakers, and change makers over the years. 🍂 🍁 FALL upon US! My sweet Ethan turned 9, Eva is now a part of the CPAP machine club, we enjoyed the full super moon, adored our Rex, partied with @marleyblonsky for Halloween, kids made their own costumes, celebrated Eva’s #heartanniversary , Elsie had her first viola concert, we checked pads for contaminants, and

WE ADOPTED a rescue pup (and Rex’s new best friend)… our new girl, QUINN! 🐶

I am SO incredibly grateful for my most recent trip back to my home state of NEW YORK to see family and friends, in celebration of my beautiful cousin’s wedding. Congratulations Nicole and David! 🥂

I can’t tell you how much this visit meant to me in this season of life and I’m overwhelmingly blessed to have been able to see family I haven’t seen in 4-6+ years.

A special Thank You to Nicole & David for their intentionally planned experiences that took us on a journey into their community that they are so passionate about. 🤍

CELEBRATING & remembering the INCREDIBLE LIFE of our KIP. 🐶💙I’ve been putting this post off since his passing in July but, thought so many of you would want to know that he has crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge.

I adopted KIP in 2009 in western NY. He was a young, stray pup found originally in Ohio. He was my first rescue, my first everything - he was with me even before getting married.

“Kitty Kip, Kippy Cakes, Trash Panda, Rice Kippy, Princess Kip, Old man Kip”( in his later years).

At first KIP was a super fast-flight risk and garbage instigator who would become our particular, loyal, loving, and protective little guy. A model dog, “dog model” and great babysitter.

He watched over and cared for each and every one of us. Every new baby, every new rescue. He watched over our LUCY when she got old, watched over our BUSTER when he got sick, welcomed REX @rexoftheozarks when he hopped in until … each of us attentively watched over him when he started to slow down.

How truly blessed we were to have such a wonderful dog like KIP for over 16+ years (we aren’t sure how old he was when I adopted him). Vets astonished at his incredible health over the years, even after loosing an eye.

He was so LOVED and he is so missed but we know he is with LUCY, BUSTER, and that they are all together again.

He was my errand runner, my hike buddy, my protector, my market pal, my nap partner, and he knew EXACTLY where 7Brew was located for pup cups. He would always tell you what he wanted and when he wanted it, a yappy little beagle mix who knew he would always get what he wanted, lol.

He was our KIP.

🎵 I used to sing this Carpenter’s song to KIP. This was our song except I changed the lyrics to “Close to KIP” instead of “Close to you”. by @0utsidetheboxfox

The SPRiNG 🌱 RecAP 🤍 Birthdays, art, outdoors, food, repeat.

EVA had a BIRTHDAY 🎂 and now she is 13! How is that even possible!? We love seeing Eva grow in her independence, her hobbies, and her desire to try new experiences. The vivacious teen is here! 👑

A friend told me recently to "tend to the garden that I already have". I can't thank her enough for those words that have translated in my life in so many different ways.
