POSTS STORIES REELS

Hello dear friends,

Life pulled me away from my kitchen for a while — family first, always.

I’ve been between Sydney and Bali, and will soon Bangkok, collecting quiet moments and missing my little rituals.

Swan Lake at Sunset 🦢🌅— Meringue with Triple Curds, blueberry curd, blood orange curd, and lemon curd.

This dessert was inspired by a memory I still carry with me —swans gliding across Narrabeen Lagoon, near my home in Sydney, right at sunset.

I haven’t seen them lately… and I’ve missed them more than I expected.

I made this on Christmas Eve, just before I left home — and it’s been waiting in my camera roll for the right moment.

Crisp meringue, soft vanilla whipped cream, and three curds folded into one golden-hour kind of bite. A quiet little comeback — sweet, sharp, and silky.

Would you eat this neatly… or go straight in with a spoon? 🤍✨

If you ask me when Sydney is at its most beautiful, I’ll say “all year round”…
but if I really had to choose, November wins my heart every time.

November is when parts of the city turn violet — jacaranda season.
Whole streets soften into shades of lilac and lavender, and the air feels like it’s holding its breath for a moment of magic.

One of the most famous spots is McDougall Street, a gentle sloping road where layers of jacaranda trees create that dreamlike purple tunnel — like in the last photo, captured beautifully by @travel.with.minh

That street inspired this jacaranda cheese terrine, infused with lavender and made to echo the soft, hazy purples of the season.

The tree in my photos is actually just steps from our home — there are plenty around here, but this one feels like an old friend, and I always come back to it.

I used @phillyaus. This recipe is developed from @k.miyu0702 and styled with inspiration from @bellbell.vavi — do visit their incredible pages for more beauty.

It’s been a hectic week. And when life feels complicated, I find myself craving something simple. And when your life depends on coffee to go through the day, this coffee butter cake answers the call — straightforward, comforting, and just what the soul needs.

A little secret: it’s even better served cold. The texture firms up, the coffee notes deepen, and every bite lingers a touch longer — it almost feels like ice cream. Pair it with a cup of coffee, and the flavours echo and intensify with every sip.

Wish you all a peaceful and restful weekend 💕

Thanks to talented @art_imade for this delicious recipe.

Green, punchy, and impossible to ignore — chimichurri brings instant life to anything it touches. The colour is bright. The flavour is bold.

I love to keep mine classic: parsley from the garden, olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, red chilli, dried oregano, salt and pepper. Simple ingredients, but together… magic.

I love to brush over steaks on the grill, then spoon over at the table — and always finding its way onto char-grilled asparagus and homemade flatbread too. Which one you would like to pair with your Chimichurri?

Now I’m curious to try chimichurri from @sur.direct and see how I’d use it in my kitchen.

Chimichurri has always been one of those sauces I come back to — bold, herbaceous, unapologetically vibrant. The kind of flavour that instantly wakes everything up.

I usually stay close to the classics, so this one is another old-school version: olive oil, red wine vinegar, parsley, garlic, red chilli, dried oregano, salt and pepper. Simple ingredients, but together… magic.

I brush it over steaks while they’re on the grill (never marinate — just baste), then spoon more over when serving. And because I can never stop at just one plate, it finds its way onto char grilled asparagus and my homemade flatbread too — bright, tangy, irresistible.

This batch is inspired by @cafedelites - Karina’s beautiful recipe — gracias for the foundation. And now I’m genuinely curious to try the bottled chimichurri from @sur.direct and see how I’d use it in my kitchen and storytelling.

Pile-High Raspberry Tart with Pistachio Crème Pâtissière 🍓💚
When raspberries are at their peak season, there’s really no need to overthink things. Let them take centre stage — piled high, unapologetic, and bursting with brightness.

But here’s a little home-cook truth: this time I spooned my homemade raspberry compote right onto the base… and only after realised I’d forgotten about keeping the tart shell crisp 😅
Next time, I’ll coat the base with a thin layer of white chocolate first — lessons learned, always.

A buttery shell, pistachio crème pâtissière, and raspberries doing what they do best: bold, tart, and irresistible.
If you don’t mind to share, what is your favourite berry tart?

Catfish in Betel Leaves Coconut Curry 🌿🥥🐟
This is one of those dishes that instantly takes me back to my dad. He’s always loved fish—especially river fish—while I’ve never been quite as brave 😅 I guess river fish are… a little muddy, a little bold, and definitely an acquired taste.

But somehow, in a coconut curry with betel leaves? It just works. The flavour is deep, punchy, and unapologetically bold — the kind of dish that needs something simple on the side to balance it out… like a fried egg or a Thai omelette 🍳✨

And this summer (Australian summer is from December to February) my betel plants have been growing absolutely mad, so I’ve got plenty at hand 🌱

Have you ever cooked with betel leaves before?

Golden hour, but make it dessert 🦢🌅
Swan Lake at Sunset — meringue with triple curds.
Inspired by the swans at Narrabeen Lagoon near my Sydney home — those sunset ripples reflecting the light… I never forgot it.
