merman akitoya 🧜🏻

this is actually fanart of my own fic because I'm a loser (yes it's doomed, no it's not very well written)

sorry for my inconsistent style... Since art fight I've been trying to experiment with my drawing process so it's led to things being wildly different between pieces 😭 I really like how this turned out though!!!

feeding you my akian slop

guys when I tell you this piece gave me 50 grey hairs I mean it. Drawing buildings is my kryptonite... I literally could've chosen any other cute scenario and I chose one IN FRONT OF A LITERAL BUILDING what the frick. It looks like they're walking through the backrooms with how empty it is 😭 I cannot draw buildings for the life of me I'm so serious. But whatever...

Anyways I decided to doodle akian during a mall date because brainworms... They get progressively lower quality because they were all drawn on the same canvas and I had to crop each scene individually 😭

another attack on @darkfoggyforests !!! I drew kaihua and fengshu again because I missed them...

I'm testing 30 second timelapses!! I don't know how much more interesting or fun to watch they are so let me know 😭 but as you can see the piece is kinda hard carried by the filter i put on at the end...

I can't believe art fight is ending today... There was so much more I wanted to dooo 💔💔💔 next year I WILL have more OCs for you guys to draw so stay tuned!!! 🥹

an attack for @/randomstuff7739 on art fight!! I had so much fun with this piece 🥹

I think one of my biggest art regrets was not experimenting sooner... I was so convinced that I had to draw in a certain way using the same rigid set of brushes because I thought that was the art style I wanted, or at least the one that was right for me. Also I just wasn't bothered to watch the ads on ibispaint to unlock the other brushes 😭😭😭 but it has been such a game changer... I've found that I love textured brushes and the way they look, and they make drawing and rendering so enjoyable!!! So if you ever feel stuck with your art style, or even if you feel like you're comfortable with it, take some time to play with brushes!!! You never know what you might discover 🥹

This is one of the main reasons why art fight was such a valuable experience for me... I would not have stepped out of my comfort zone or drawn so much if I hadn't participated! With each drawing I learned something knew about my process... I identified which things worked and which parts didn't work so much or could have been improved... The key was to use each piece as a stepping stone and understand how I could do better next time!!! I definitely think I've improved from the start of July to now 🥹

An attack for @e1lfy ! Wrath’s design is so awesome… 🥹

For me art fight has been a way to practice and experiment with different lighting scenarios! It’s been great fun and I’m learning a lot about the best drawing process for me
