We tapped in with @whoisamaka at the @ctrlaltbeatt season finale for a conversation beyond the music.

From unexpected questions to a few candid takes, we got to know the artist behind the sound a little better.

There’s a lot that goes into making something feel effortless. It's even better when you see it right in front of your eyes.

The lighting.
The cameras.
The conversations.
The people behind the scenes making sure everything keeps moving.

I got to experience all of it at the CTRL+ALT+BEAT season finale, and it reminded me why I love paying attention to the details behind the work.
So I wrote about it.

“It's All In The Details” — now live on Substack.

I tried a likkle something different with this one too - recorded the article in my own voice for anyone who wants to press play and experience the story that way.

Read it. Listen to it. Let me know what you think, link in my bio 🙏🏿

Keep up the solid work @ctrlaltbeatt 🤞🏿 by @_4rdasquad

Making a live show go smoothly is one thing but the preparation as soon as you wake up the day of sets the tone.

@chelsi_campbell and @tiisania share with us how much it takes to get things done from the start of the day and how the positive energy is carried to the team you are working with. @ctrlaltbeatt

More to share soon, go secure those tickets for EP.4 of their live show while you still can 👀 (link in their bio)

Sometimes the interruptions and random moments make the best conversations. The best thing about this clip is how it shows the human experience, showing laughs, random side conversations, and a little bit of food too.

This is @ctrlaltbeatt a live recording talk show that has now completed their 3rd episode. Caught up with @chelsi_campbell & @tiisania to see how they are feeling post show, what it takes to keep things moving from the start, and how much effort is required to keep the conversation moving forward.

More to share soon, but remember you can go purchase Ep4 tickets for @ctrlaltbeatt next live show happening this Thursday right now!

We hope you enjoy,

The soundbite from this conversation with @iamsnackz @discoveryroomto was as real as they come. We asked the question of “how do you want people to feel when they listen to you” and we love it because we always get different responses.

Snackz shares how much it really means to him and you can tell from his answer he lives by his words. We even had a random encounter from a guy on the street who heard the interview a couple mins and stayed all the way to the end to make sure he could support Snack’z music. That’s what it’s all about.

Had an amazing conversation with @elishasound over at @discoveryroomto getting to know why she makes music, her life outside of it, and what she hopes people remember about her.

Thank you to Elisha for joining us and shoutout to @jojoojofeitimi for the photo 😎

We hope you enjoy, be back soon!

You never know where you’re going to end up but you should always work towards your dreams.

@__iamcharmaine shares with us before her performance @discoveryroomto a question she wishes artists should be asked, and then answers it with a beautiful story about why she is doing music today. by @_4rdasquad
