YES I’M REAL. I started this page because I missed something I couldn’t find a photo of.Not a place or a thing. A feeling. What it felt like to be a kid in Australia in the 90s/early 2000s with nowhere to be and no reason to be anywhere.There’s no photo of that. So I started making them.I’m a filmmaker. I run a multinational creative agency. I’ve spent 15 years telling stories for a living. But nothing I’ve ever made has connected like these cheeky little AI reels.I think it’s because nostalgia isn’t really about the past. It’s about grief for a version of the world that felt simpler, and a version of ourselves that didn’t know how good we had it. Every comment that says “I felt that” is someone mourning and smiling at the same time. That’s a rare thing to stumble into.I use AI to make the visuals. The memories are mine. The feelings are yours.I’m Sam. I love Jesus. I married Jasmine, we’ve got 2 beautiful girls Cherry and Bloom… and I still reckon my girls can have the best version of Australia we all grew up in.
