What winning your first state title looks like.

Greggy deserves this. He competes often, rarely misses a practice, does jedi training and even stays after every single day to get some extra work in. Everyone says they want to be a champion but very few are willing to put in the work.

Last year Greggy was a noob. Wrestling beginner division at Top Gunz. Going 0-2 at Freakshow. But even then I never stopped believing in him. I knew how talented he was and it was just a matter of time before it started to click. So happy for him and the whole Marquez family. Now, he’s a State Champ!!!

Wrestled yesterday and today at the @rmnevents Rocky Mountain Nationals. Placed 4th in 9U 61lbs and 6th place in 10U 61lbs divisions. I faced some very tough opponents and was able to secure wins against wrestlers I have lost to in the past. My hard work does not go unnoticed. The heart, technique and speed are the definitely there. Now it’s time to work on getting stronger, build more muscle and strength. Thank you to all my colleagues, teammates and parents at @so_cal_hammers for coaching and cheering me on. I will be back next year and leave with a trophy or two.
