The best adventure imagery doesn’t always come from the biggest moment. Sometimes it’s someone laughing with boots on, skis over a shoulder, or a quiet pause before heading out again.

Camilla shot this Passenger campaign as a journey rather than a series of setups letting the people, landscape and winter weather do plenty of the storytelling along the way.

“Sorry, what exactly is a nut cracker?”

This was a fair question from Camilla’s UK client. 😂

Skiing in New Zealand can be a little different and Broken River Clubfield gave the Passenger crew exactly the kind of winter adventure they were looking for.

No polished resort experience here. Community-run, wonderfully Kiwi and, in Camilla’s words: “Nothing fancy, just extremely good times.”

"Designed to wander, made to roam".

That was the Passenger brief, and Camilla Rutherford took it pretty literally.

After plenty of planning, the crew hit the road from Wānaka towards Arthur’s Pass, shooting the story as it unfolded with winter layers, big landscapes and all the little moments in between.

As Camilla put it: “Such a fun brief.”
