📍Yesterday, QuadVentures had the privilege of attending the Gauteng Industry Roadshow at Emperors Palace, hosted by the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) in partnership with the Gauteng Tourism Authority, the City of Ekurhuleni, and the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA).

The event brought together tourism businesses, industry leaders, and key stakeholders from across Gauteng to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and discuss the future of South Africa’s tourism industry.

As a youth-led company specializing in safari and adventure experiences,QuadVentures is grateful for the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, build meaningful connections, and be part of important conversations shaping the future of tourism.

A special thanks to the TBCSA and its partners for creating a platform that empowers collaboration, innovation, and growth within the tourism sector. We look forward to continuing our journey of creating unforgettable travel experiences while contributing to the growth of South African tourism. And what a day it was🤩

Starting with the Tourism Business Council of South Africa #roadshow at Emperors Palace on a relatively awesome morning….. weather was actually pretty nice for winter✨

Great to see how Tshifhiwa Tshivhengwa and Boitumelo Daniels have made this space accessible for all of us, where we can share an open forum and come together and engineer new ways forward🙏

Rosemarie van Staden from the National Accommodation Association of South Africa you’re always so much fun to be around, thanks for reminding us not to take ourselves too seriously 🙃

Always great to catch up with Mputle Dikobe from the Visit Gauteng and congratulations to the new She EO miss Crezelda Venter it was lovely meeting you💫

Then to recalibrate I took Baxter aka Mr. Fluffy bum to Delta for a quick saunter, naturally he wasn’t complaining 🤣🤣🤣

Finally we ended our day with our Cinetour / International Committee of World Film Festivals meeting leading up to our congress taking place in Rome 27th - 29th Oct, special thanks for Can Saraçoğlu for the vision and Irina Khangoshvili for her tireless work and for making the admin magic happen🫶

So far it’s been an amazing week, and I won’t lie, I’m looking forward to the weekend.

However, when you work for yourself I’m not sure that actually applies🤣🤣🤣 IYKYK

20 days. ±4,400 km. One loop around the soul of South Africa.

It's begun. We've taken off from Johannesburg on a road trip that traces the country's edge and heart — Joburg to Durban, down the Wild Coast and Garden Route to Cape Town, then home across the Great Karoo.

An SA Tour TV production, in the field with @joburgtimes, @joburgstyle travelling with @makayla.emmerick and @thisabilitynewspaper.

Content is king — but the people and places are the whole point. We're here to document tourism, lifestyle and scenery that stops you mid- sentence, and to sit down with the voices news usually overlooks. The hidden gems. The corners no one's filming.

🛣️ DAY 1 IS DONE — JOBURG → DURBAN
☕ Coffee in Harrismith, under the Platberg.
✊🏾 The Nelson Mandela Capture Site, Howick — the exact road where, on 5 August 1962, Mandela was stopped while posing as a chauffeur, beginning his 27 years of imprisonment. Marco Cianfanelli's sculpture stands there now: 50 steel columns that line up into his face from one vantage point, then dissolve into a forest of steel as you walk through. 50 columns for 50 years.
🏡 An impromptu stop at the @housegardenshow — KZN's biggest, live on @eastcoastradio.
🍕 An Italian welcome from @spigadurban, a Florida Road institution since 2001. Grazie Marco Santoniccolo & @georgemthembu73.

🏨 And full circle: we're resting at @royal.majestic.durban — the landmark hotel Nelson Mandela himself opened in 1997. From the road that changed his life, to the hotel he opened.
