In late June I had the privilege of meeting with @michaelaguzy through @_itffa and @_nikonsouthafrica . I would like to first and foremost extend my greatest thanks to them for their trust in me. For believing in me and sending me on this experience.

Embarking on this project with @otpym was a dream come true! This journey taught me the importance of adaptability, team management, and motivation. I was able to hone my producing skills, learned to navigate tight schedules, and appreciated the value of preparation, backups, and most importantly living in the moment.

I would love to also give a shout out to the best hostsnwho gave us a home away from home @sibanilodge - then also to the people who kept us on our toes with breathtaking sights @airventuresballoonsafaris @helivate_helicopter_services

The filming process was an unforgettable adventure but so was stepping into post production. Strengthening my editing abilities and learning to grade footage became an invaluable learning experience thanks to the support of talented artists who were willing to advise and YouTube (hehe) when I needed that extra push.

This journey was a masterclass in collaboration and growth. I'm forever grateful for this experience, which has profoundly shaped my perspective and skills as a creator. I'm excited to apply these lessons to future projects and continue growing as an artist.

We are happy to announce that 'Coming Home' one of the productions we worked on with award winning Film Director, Andrew Malcolm received a Gold Award at the International Tourism Film Festival (ITFF) for wildlife conservation filmmaking in the category of rhinos and elephants.

Additionally, our team member and in-house DOP, Wiki West, spoke at a panel on wildlife filmmaking. We hope that our field media will continue to inspire conservation efforts worldwide and for our media to speak for the voiceless.

Press release, Johannesburg, South Africa - June 18, 2024 - The 6th annual International Tourism Film Festival Africa (ITFFA) has unveiled its winners after a fierce competition that saw 436 entries from 61 countries. The festival, which took place from June 11-15, 2024, celebrated the finest in tourism storytelling, with a focus on conservation, cultural heritage, and sustainability.
The winners were selected by an esteemed panel of 46 jury members, equally representing the film and digital creation industries and the tourism sector. The films were judged on seven key criteria: impact, creativity, sound, style, subject matter, storytelling, and goal effectiveness, with scores out of 10 awarded to each entry.
After three rigorous rounds of judging, 272 films advanced to the final round, with 23 finalists, 61 Silver Awards, 41 Gold Awards, and 3 prestigious Pinnacle Awards being bestowed upon the most outstanding submissions. The coveted ITFFA Festival Directors Award was presented to Nicola Gerrard of Love Africa Marketing in recognition of her exceptional contributions to filmmaking in the Wildlife and Conservation and Tourism categories.
