Last month, I celebrated two years as Education Director for OKC Beautiful. 💓🌱✨

In the last two years, I have been surrounded by growth - from the growth seen in the plants and the critters in our school gardens, to the growth I’ve experienced alongside my phenomenal coworkers and community partners.

I have the privilege of helping connect students to nature - to spend my day sharing my passion with others. Showing them that their unique skill, voice, or experience can help make the world a better place. 💚

Two new school gardens built, 39 times presenting the Mother Earth play, 56 high schoolers enrolled in Earth Academy, plus all of the undocumented moments that make you stop in your tracks.

Experiencing these moments in collaboration with friends is even more special. 💓

My work makes me feel connected to my community. Thank you to my amazing team members, past and present, and all the folks who’ve ever volunteered with us. 💓

This is the face of a 27 year old who has found her voice, who has learned to take up space, has built around her a chosen family who CELEBRATES her, who is free to experience the joys of love and depths of loss, holding space for her feelings and others, and looks at everything as a learning opportunity.

For my birthday, I am asking friends to donate to Sisu Youth Services to support our youth experiencing homelessness. Any amount is greatly appreciated - you can find the link in this post, as well as an Amazon Wishlist linked in @sisuyouthokc bio. 🫶🏼

Thank you all for being a part of my life, happy birthday to me. ❤️ taken in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma by @_kcmeek
