Last week, we celebrated 5 years of state school cricket at Lord’s 🏏In 2021, the MCC Foundation (MCCF) launched its National Hub Competition for state-educated players. It gave thousands of girls and boys from its network of free-to-access Hubs the chance to compete for a place in a final on the Main Ground at @homeofcricket 🏆🏆The competition has grown year on year, and last week’s Hub Finals Day - played in front of some 2,000 spectators - did not disappoint. In the Girls’ event, #Guildford came out on top against the #York Hub by four runs. In the Boys’ final, York beat #Leyton by 11 runs. This year’s U16 and U14 National Hub Competitions were generously supported by Lord’s Principal Partner @barclaysukWith one of the largest ever donations made to the MCC Foundation, Barclays will help Lord’s with their shared ambition of creating accessible and inclusive cricket for 10,000 young people by 2028.The National Hub Programme forms the cornerstone of MCCF’s work in the UK, ensuring that every young cricketer can be empowered to reach their full potential in the game, regardless of race, gender, or socio-economic circumstance.Follow @_mccfoundation and head over to lords.org/mccfoundation to find out how you can support its inspiring projects in the UK and around the world ❤️💛#cricket #lovelords #hubfinals25 by @_mccfoundation

It was truly an honour to host the Afghan Refugee Women’s XI in the first match of their UK tour yesterday. Our connection with these remarkable Afghan women began with the establishment of the Global Cricket Refugee Fund and MCCF will continue to support refugees and displaced people around the world. They played an MCCF Select XI comprising girls from our MCCF Hubs in a T20 at the beautiful Wormsley Cricket Ground. The match was a thriller, with the tourists winning by two wickets! The collaboration between ICC, ECB, MCC, Cricket Australia and Pitch Our Future to help these inspiring cricketers is a testament to what the cricket community can do on a global stage. by @_mccfoundation
