How fast I’m praying my recovery will be 😂

Being still is so difficult for me, but I know I have to. I'll use the down time to truly be still & listen to whatever it is that God wants to put on my heart. There are so many things up in the air right now, so many decisions I need to make & my recovery will be the perfect time to really hash out everything.

Considering myomectomy recovery requires 2 to 3 weeks of bedrest, I am going to enjoy the few days that I do have left! Fibroids can’t hold a baddie down (fun fact: fibroids do in fact keep baddies down 🫠 I vomited 5 days last week due to my largest one pressing up against my intestines)

This is your reminder to take notice of your body & do scans at home on yourself! Over the last 2-3 months, I have been randomly cramping, at times it would be excruciating, & sometimes accompanied with 🤮 . I chalked it up to getting older & needing to change my diet. Last month I was checking myself & found a lump between my lower abdomen & my right hip.

I went to the dr two days later, had an ultrasound & MRI which confirmed multiple fibroids. Fibroids affect 8/10 women, & the chances are much higher in black women. I’ll have them removed (#myomectomy) soon & will document the healing process, but ladies BE CHECKING YOUR BODY!!!! It’s the only one you’ve got 💚
