10 years of multi day bikepacking trips. Does not feel like 10 years have passed since I did my first one. Out of those 10 years I have been mostly working a full-time job, so I have mostly used my winter and summer vacation days on these adventures.
I have always had a list of routes or places I wanted to experience by bike so I was already booking my calendar 6-9 months before the trip.

Here is a nice chronological collection of +4 day bikepacking adventures. I have had the pleasure to enjoy solo adventures but also shared adventures with amazing people.

Of course there have been hundreds of overnighters/weekend trips during the past 10 years. Even if the bigger trips are a main adventure of a year, the monthly or even weekly shorter trips are the ones that keep you going. 🚵🏕️

Since 2020 my Pine Mountain came into my life, here it is on its 4th Arctic bikepacking adventure on the Arctic Post Road MTB route. 🔥

The bags stayed put, the new fork made the downhills even smoother and more fun. I could carry everything I needed. The @oldmanmountainracks Axle Packs worker really well for mounting things on the fork, very secure and robust. The titanium @protostudia y-rack is still one my favorite pieces of gear for this bike.

Still for me the best bikepacking adventures are the trail heavy, remote places that require some occasional push-a-biking. Just brings a bigger smile on my face. ❤️

For next year tho, I might do something different than going to the Arctic region. 🤔

Fatherhood has shown how amazing those breakfasts outdoors are and made me appreciate them more than before. Food for the soul and body. 🏕️🧘

September overnighter 🏕️🥾
41 km hike in Pirkanmaa. Plenty of bushwhacking and following faint trails passing thru mushroom country and some cool shelters on the way. A great way to spend your birthday.

First time in like 30 years backyard camping. Nice early autumn air for some proper sleep. In the morning wake up, walk in and spend the day with the baby. Maybe pack up the tent during lunch time. 🏕️🏡

Packraft has been a nice addition to exploring the rivers and lakes of Arctic wilderness. It might not be used every year, but when it is in use I remember the fun and playful factor it brings alongside bikepacking and hiking. 🚣
