One thing that has become painfully clear over the last year is this:

Most people were never taught how to recognize propaganda while living inside it.

How social pressure shapes belief.
How misinformation spreads emotionally.
How manipulation works at scale.

And many Jews are now confronting those realities personally.

That’s part of why we’re starting this book club.

Not as passive reading.

But as preparation.

A place to sharpen thinking, build resilience, learn together, and connect with people who understand what this moment actually feels like.

Because clarity matters.

Community matters.

And isolation makes people easier to break.

On November 4th, 2025, NYC voters made their voices clear, that NYC is not safe for Jews anymore.

NYC has always been my home. I never had dreams of the burbs, but that is where I have gone.

The city I no longer recognizable. Instead pulsing with possibility, the city is full of anger, pain, and an undercurrent of hate wrapped in “social justice” clothing.

As an educator, the realities of this mayor scare me to my core. Ending funding for the Technion campus, putting a full fledge Jew hater as the head of the DOE. It is clear that I can’t work in this city anymore. My voice would not even be welcomed. Mamdani made it clear that no “Zionists” can serve in his administration.

So I’m out.
And I will not be the last.
NYC is pushing out the builders of society in favor of the destroyers.

It’s time to change the narrative. No more teaching our kids the golden rule is how all of humanity operates.

It doesn’t!

Our children deserve and need the truth. We are over protecting them to the detriment of our nation and their lives.

And look at what Israeli kids live with and how amazing they come out. Truth can be scary, but we have survived worse.

Jewish families need to stop with the woke BS and teach the truth. by @abbybrody

France should be a warning.

What began as student protests over education has escalated in parts of the country into fires, clashes, vandalism and thousands of arrests. And yes, Palestinian flags have appeared at some of these demonstrations too.

As we approach October 7, I’m asking American parents to pay attention.

Know where your kids are. Know what they’re walking into. Ask who is organizing it and what they are actually being asked to participate in.

A school walkout can become something very different, very quickly.

In 2020 I said higher education as we know it was ending.
Six years later… it’s not a prediction anymore.
The private sector is done waiting for colleges to produce kids they actually want to hire.

They’re building their own schools. No grades. No tests. No four-year degree. Just real skills with real jobs at the end.

And the best part?
It doesn’t have to be billionaires.
It can be you.
If the system isn’t teaching what your kids actually need… go build the thing that does.

You don’t need permission.
You just need a tribe ☺️ by @abbybrody

What if the world had simply said the obvious?

That murdering families in their homes is not resistance.
That rape is never justified.
That hostages should be released, not erased.

That terrorism should never be rewarded.
Instead, the response was excuses. Silence. Double standards. Recognition of the very group that celebrated the massacre.

We will never know how many lives might have been different if the world had chosen moral clarity over politics.

But we can still ask the question.

There is no one worse in education right now than the people deciding what goes on the shelves.
The American Library Association isn’t just “woke.” It’s the engine that turns ideology into the books your kids are handed at school.

Parents you don’t have to read every title in the library.

Just look at the ones that win their awards.
That list tells you everything.

I’m NOT for banning books. All deserve a place on our shelves, but the wins winning awards have a very clear narrative pushed by our librarians. The piece concerning for me is not that these books exist is that they are the librarians working in our schools “favorites” books. by @abbybrody
