Nearly seven weeks with the love of my life <3

I never understood that this love is like no other until now, because it is. You can’t put it into words, you can only feel it through you. It is overwhelming more often than not, it is all consuming. It is endless. It is truly for life. How often do we do something that is for life? I can’t remember. I am caught in the depth of this emotion and sometimes it makes me unsteady. I’ll find my way—my mom told me so before she left last week and I believe her because she did find her way, not once but three times. She has done a superb job at loving us. A love so tender and unquestionable.

I adore this sweet boy. He makes us so happy. I can only hope that we make him feel happy and safe in return.

Slow Sunday
that is also my birthday

The last nine months, Brian and I have been living in an unfolding poem of sorts. I’ve been growing our sweet baby and intensely feeling everything that has come with this season—the worry, the uncertainty, the joy, the excitement, my ever growing body only seeking to accommodate his 🤍

A raw poem we don’t get to edit or start over. A limitless love. A surrender.

My life has been touched in a way I could’ve never anticipated. No matter how strongly we’ve wanted it—I did not ever imagine the power of having him, his immensity in our life well before we get to hold his tiny hand.

In many ways, the thought of him changed us, the hope for him broke us and healed us many times over and we are so grateful to be where we are today 🥹🤍

A snippet of this beautiful season for when I get nostalgic and want a quick look-back 🥹

1. The mobile of my dreams <3

2. The morning we found out I was pregnant. Naturally had to let it sink in with Sweedeedee honey cake 🍯

3-6 Our 10 year anni trip to cph had been planned less than a month prior to finding out we were going to be parents! We thought it would be our time to reset after two+ very emotionally loaded years. Instead, it was a magical time❤️ I barely survived—the jet lag and nausea nearly finished me but I also felt more alive than I ever had 😭❤️

7-10 Made it to second tri and took a handful mirror selfies because we’re on cloud nine and it felt very lovely to see myself growing him slowly, even if the world couldn’t tell—it was was just me and him, and B and a couple friends and fam on the journey 🥹

11-12 Blissful mornings ❤️❤️ The number of times B held the pinard to my bump and tapped his finger on my arm to the tune of our baby’s heartbeat is a memory I will hold onto forever 😭

13. Also all our mid morning coffee escapes. I will cherish these decaf drinking days ☕️

14-18. A night at @sostahouse before the whirlwind of meeting our sweet baby in the flesh 🤍 It was gorgeous!

19. Our last coffee outing just us two (and baby still in the womb 🥹).

20. My mom arrived last night. We’re ready, not long now 😭❤️ taken in Portland, Oregon by @absence_studio

Corners from Finn Juhl’s House at Ordrupgaard. I have a very distinct and sweet memory of us taking the train from Copenhagen and me carrying a ziplock bag with rice crackers and my bottle of water, hoping for an easy afternoon🥹

A highlight from last fall—I can barely believe we’re in mid May now. The last months have gone in a blink of an eye and I have a feeling the next few will be no different 🤍 taken in Ordrupgaard Museum by @absence_studio
