Dear Ms Hebath,

Thank you for being all shades of amazing!

I’ve lost count of how many times people have mistaken us for students, only to be surprised when they find out we’re actually the two mentors leading Team Benin. 😂 “Two girls?” “Wow, you guys look so young!” “Wait, you’re the mentors?”

But that’s the truth. We’re two girls that @geekonheels01, the founder of @femcoders15_ Initiative, believed in, and now we get to train and believe in others too.

And you, my dear, are the coolest mentor ever! The kids absolutely love having you around, and honestly, I love having you around even more. 😂❤️ Your creativity is unmatched, and I love how dependable and unbiased you are.

Thank you for always looking out for me, taking care of me, and loving me so dearly. I don’t take it for granted and I love you too❤️

Day 1 at the @f1rstglobal Challenge 2026 in Incheon, South Korea 🇰🇷

What a privilege it is to be here, representing Benin and serving as one of the mentors leading #TeamBenin 🇧🇯, alongside @ola.log, and five incredible students.

I’m excited for everything the rest of this experience holds.

Did you know? Since 2017, @femcoders15_ has been training and preparing Team Benin for the FIRST Global Challenge, a Global Olympic-like robotics competition that brings together young people from countries around the world to build, collaborate, and solve global challenges through STEM.

Joyeux lundi, comme on dit… Bref, un petit conseil pour toi et moi.

Avant de commencer à éteindre les incendies cette semaine dans nos différentes responsabilités, activités ou domaines d’études, prenons un moment pour faire le bilan de la semaine dernière et en tirer le maximum d’enseignements.

Qu’est-ce qui a fonctionné ? Pourquoi ?
Qu’est-ce qui n’a pas fonctionné ? Pourquoi ?
Sur quoi devrais-je me concentrer cette semaine ?
Qu’est-ce que je dois répéter ?
Qu’est-ce que je ne devrais pas répéter ?

On ne veut quand même pas continuer à tourner en rond, n’est-ce pas ?

Fais le bilan de la semaine dernière pour mieux planifier celle-ci.

Ne dis pas que je n’ai jamais rien fait pour toi… de rien. 😌

𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐱 🌳
First of all, how does one cut down an entire forest that quickly? How could he have been so blinded by ambition, cutting down the trees one by one until the very last one? What was he doing?? And how do you throw away the people who believed in you, only to go back and lean on a family that didn’t believe in you?

He didn’t just negatively impact the lives around him. He threw away people who believed in him. He threw away loyalty. He threw away what mattered. The Once-ler was so fixed on pleasing others, proving himself to his family, and growing his business that he didn’t see what he was losing or destroying, till it was all gone.

And worst part of it? His business eventually packed up, there was no sustainability in the growth of his business, and there were no trees left. He grew so fast, and he fell just as fast.

I loved his name, though: The Once-ler, it’s chic and cool. But that name came with so much regret.

Pleaseee, let’s build right, let’s scale right. let’s grow right, loyalty matters, people matters, integrity matters, keeping your word matters, holding up your end of the bargain matters, being dependable and trustworthy matters. Never lose sight of this.

Happy Monday, they say...Anyways, an advice for you and me.

Before we start firefighting this week in our respective duties/capacities or fields of study, let’s review last week and account for it as much as we can. What worked? Why? What didn’t work? Why didn’t it work? What should I focus on this week? What do I need to repeat? What should I not repeat? We don’t want to keep running in circles, right? Review last week so you can plan this week better.
