Here is the lyric video Justine and I put together for How Long. Just a little something so you can hear a bit of the record before we start doing official releases.

This is a song about time, anticipation, longing and uncertainty. Awaiting the next move, the next phase. This is a theme that is present throughout the upcoming album. Searching for balance in the uncertainly, learning to be in the moment and at peace in the chaos. Longing for love and happiness.

It’s about time this track came out!
When is this record comin??????

Thanks for listening. Got more coming. Stay tuned and be well!

Let Me Back In is out now, on streaming platforms everywhere!

It is the first single from the upcoming Matt Epp album, ‘Sugar in the Rain’. This song features almost an entirely different cast of collaborators than the rest of the album, because it was recorded as part of his ‘Shadowlands’ album sessions in Tennessee back in 2018. Epp cut it from the final album tracklist because it didn’t quite fit that vision… but 8 years later it has come back to life and found a home! Please enjoy, listen and share 🙏❤️

The wonderful cast of contributors include:
Aaron Goldstein, producer @agoldrules
Jon Radford, drums @jon_radford_drums
Joel Couture, bass @joel_cou
James Robertson, electric guitar @champagnejamesrobertson
Jill Harris, backup vocals @jillylisa
Meg Contini, backup vocals
Micah Hulscher, piano
Steve Marriner, mix @stevemarriner
Dan Lanois, pre-master @daniellanois
Phil Shaw Bova, master @mrmaster3000
Mitzi Artea, photography @mitzi_artea_tattoo

Some things just happen at the right time.
While on tour in Toronto with Joe Wunderle @joewunderle , we went into the studio late one night after a show and recorded his unreleased song “Bottle It Up” with the great Aaron Goldstein @agoldrules

Just Joe on acoustic guitar, Nikolai on pedal steel, and Konstanze on bass.
Simple, honest, and a really special moment for us.

Big thanks to our awesome friend Ben Mol @benmol89 for making it all happen so spontaneously 🤍

The song will be out soon, and we’re back in Nashville, ready to record a full album with the full band soon.
