Let us take a look at our initiatives and interventions over the past semester.

From conducting campaigns and protests against school closures, opposing the tunnel road project, organising a convention on the crisis of the education system in Karnataka, to standing at the forefront of multiple solidarity campaigns, be it for Palestine, against Operation Kagar, or opposing SIR, AISA has consistently led struggles across Karnataka, raising a wide range of people’s issues. We also undertook multiple fact-finding visits to understand ongoing demolitions and forced displacements on the ground. This journey has been made possible by our committed comrades and sympathisers.

We have continued our study circles both centrally and in our college-level units, engaging with ideological questions as well as topics of immediate relevance. We hope that through this unity of struggle and the study of Marxism, we are all better equipped to analyse the world around us.

In Karnataka, we are witnessing continuous attacks on education. At the same time, more and more people are being pushed into unemployment or forced into extremely difficult jobs under harsh working conditions for meagre wages.

It is our responsibility to oppose every form of injustice in society and to build a world that is just and equitable for all. Until then, our struggle continues.

Peaceful protest by @aisa.karnataka was disrupted by #KarnatakaPolice. Protesters were manhandled, violently dragged and shoved into buses. Some cops even tried to snatch cellphones of journalists recording videos and even casually remarked if they should detain them too. The anti-SIR protest soon turned into a protest demanding for the right to protest peacefully. @dkshivakumar_official @inckarnataka @priyankmkharge

Our protests won't stop until SIR is scrapped and Gyanesh Kumar resigns and is arrested.

-Release all the protestors
- Scrap SIR
-Coduct re-elections wherever elections happened after SIR
- Protests shouldn't be criminalised. It is our constitutional right. by @aisa.karnataka

Even after the Home Minister and Chief Minister of Karnataka have said that people of Karnataka should be allowed to protest anywhere we want, Bengaluru Police (many without badges) is still not allowing us to protest at Town Hall!

The Bangalore Police has formally “rejected” our intimation to protest in Town Hall. We will be gathering there against SIR and police brutality at 4PM regardless, come join us!

Quoting the Chief Minister @dkshivakumar_official - “The right to peaceful protest is fundamental to our democracy” and Home Minister @priyankmkharge - “The police are here to protect your rights, not to stand in the way of your voice” we appeal to you to ensure that our democratic right to peaceful protest is protected. by @aisa.karnataka
