He had an old SeaStar, a 1999 Chevy Suburban and a dream—the rest is history.

There’s just one thing the Sea-Burban can’t do, and that’s float.

Nine.

This girl.

She loves to read, create art and cause mayhem with her little brother.

She asks thoughtful questions about the world and isn’t afraid to stand up for her friends.

It’s such a joy to watch her grow and experience new things.

We love you so much. Happy birthday to our Lu! 🎂 by @alexabahou

There’s something about Broadcast House that feels like magic.

And maybe that seems corny to say, but for me, it’s always been the truth.

Even when I was a wide-eyed teenager trying to figure out where I was going to fit into this world, Broadcast House made sense.

Even when the hours are long and the work is hard, Broadcast House makes sense.

It all comes down to the people, the incredible journalists who roamed the halls years ago and those there now, people who care about community, who care about local journalism, who care about teamwork over ego, who care about doing the right thing.

I love our whole team and everything the Circle 7 represents. So proud that WXYZ was named Station of the Year by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for the third year in a row. We also took home the win for digital excellence, which is a testament to the best small but mighty digital team a gal could ask for: Maxwell White, Natalia Escalante, Scott Anderson and Kellen Thompson-Voss, and, of course, the hard work of 7’s incredible reporters and photojournalists.

I know one day I’ll just be a blip in the long history of an incredible place. But it’s a blip I’ll treasure—and that’s a fact.

Congratulations to all of the award winners. ❤️ by @alexabahou

Having the opportunity to share Bob’s story meant so much to me, and I am incredibly honored to be nominated for a Michigan Emmy Award this year in the News Feature - Light Feature category.

Thank you to Bob Russako for trusting me to tell your story and reminding us all that friendship can live on long after we’re gone.

I’m also grateful to photojournalist @michael.glover.76 , who put so much care into this piece. Your thoughtfulness, your creativity — working with you is always a highlight.

Congratulations to all of the nominees! by @alexabahou
