POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Labor Day seems like a fun day to post a summer highlight reel ☀️

In some ways it still wasn’t the summer I expected (coming off ACL/meniscus surgery). However, I still found time to enjoy myself between all the physical therapy, even ran a 5K already.

I saw my family in Washington State 2 times, huge highlight because we usually go years without seeing each other. That came with celebrating birthdays and sibling tattoos.

It came with getting dressed up with friends, going to Chicago for the 4th. Canadian wineries for fun.

We welcomed a nephew into this world.

I got to caddy for @maxwellwhite19 at the Rocket Classic Pro Am & talk with Alex DeBrincat for a moment.

It came with festivals, breweries and bars with friends and family.

On the diabetic side I had my best A1C reading in 4 years. It’s been a challenging chapter and I took the big & small wins that came with it 🤍

He had an old SeaStar, a 1999 Chevy Suburban and a dream—the rest is history.

There’s just one thing the Sea-Burban can’t do, and that’s float.

“There’s something about Broadcast House that feels like magic.

And maybe that seems corny to say, but for me, it’s always been the truth.

Even when I was a wide-eyed teenager trying to figure out where I was going to fit into this world, Broadcast House made sense.

Even when the hours are long and the work is hard, Broadcast House makes sense.

It all comes down to the people, the incredible journalists who roamed the halls years ago and those there now, people who care about community, who care about local journalism, who care about teamwork over ego, who care about doing the right thing.

I love our whole team and everything the Circle 7 represents. So proud that WXYZ was named Station of the Year by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for the third year in a row. We also took home the win for digital excellence, which is a testament to the best small but mighty digital team a gal could ask for:
Maxwell White, Natalia Escalante, Scott Anderson and Kellen Thompson-Voss, and, of course, the hard work of 7’s incredible reporters and photojournalists.

I know one day I’ll just be a blip in the long history of an incredible place. But it’s a blip I’ll treasure-and that’s a fact.

Congratulations to all of the award winners. ❤️”~ @alexabahou

The big tree reveal! 🎄✨

Our theme for this year’s Gardner White Twinkle Town tree decorating competition is Hudson’s Nostalgia.

Shout out to the Gerych’s team for bringing the theme to life: bubble lights, tinsel, retro vibes.

If our tree wins the competition, @forgottenharvest will get $10,000 to help feed families in southeast Michigan.

The need is great! Please head to WXYZ.com and vote, vote, vote.

Voting is open through Dec. 7.

Even when we’re working hard to bring you the news of our communities each and every day, there’s really just one thing on our minds: the annual Twinkle Town tree decorating competition. 🎄🎄🎄🎄

WXYZ is once again ready to fight for the top spot for a good cause.

During the Twinkle Town event on November 6 at Gardner White in Warren, families will be able to vote on more than 20 different trees, including ours.

Once again, the charity we’re decorating for this year is @forgottenharvest !

Stay tuned!
