This weekend, for the first time publicly, I walked through the 7 rules that my wife and I have developed over the years to help us navigate conflict in a sermon entitled “Fighting Fair (Rules for Arguing).”

Whether you’re married, dating, or navigating relationships in general, I hope these principles help you learn how to disagree without damaging the people you love.

This past Sunday, we had the privilege of celebrating Chelsea Butler (@chelsea_b03) and the DECADE she spent serving on staff at Overflow Church. ❤️

Chelsea was our longest-serving staff member who’s been around since the very beginning, and as she steps away from our staff to pursue a new career and some dreams God has placed in her heart, it’s hard to put into words just how much of Overflow’s story has her fingerprints all over it.

So many people who call Overflow home today have no idea how many sacrifices Chelsea made behind the scenes to help build the church they now love. The yeses no one saw. The hard conversations. The answered prayers. The long days. The good seasons and the difficult ones. For over 10 years, Chelsea has faithfully served this house and its people, and Overflow is who we are today in part because of her.

While her time on staff is ending, we’re so thankful she isn’t going anywhere! Chelsea will still call Overflow home and continue serving on our Guest Experience team.

Chelsea, we love you, we honor you, and we are forever grateful for everything you have poured into this church! We’re cheering you on in this next season and can’t wait to see what God does through you!
