Design as Devotion. 🚨🌷🎨
New poster work for @publicrecordsnyc July line up.

Hand painted watercolors and ink calligraphy. Colors, movement, tranquility and space are so essential for me. I wanted to see how I could communicate divine joy and wonder yet stillness and serenity.

Thank you Shane and Margot for the trust. taken in New York, New York by @alitheblissful

💖 I thought I knew love. I didn’t. I thought I knew God. I didn’t. But in your eyes I found all the wonder of life unfolding in my heart.
Thank you for coming down from heaven to give me a temporary glimpse of that world. However brief our journey. However eternal our soul. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Happy birthday mama.

Final poster design with my students from the Design Summer Academy workshop in China.🇨🇳💅🏽🛸
@designsummer_academy

This poster was inspired by my time in China and all of the elements of slowing down and embracing stillness. Hand painted watercolor and ink to express slow freedom of typography and a regal calligraphy lion. Ornamented with a poem by Chinese poet, Li Bai.

I lead a 2 week workshop in Hangzhou with designers and helped them integrate meditation, movement and hand painted elements into typographic experimental posters.
Through our 2 week programming each student worked on their own poster with freedom combining personal elements and expression with typographic exploration. Ultimately leading to a final gallery showcase at the end where the whole campus got to see the fruits of our creativity.

Poster show is up until Sept. 11th, at Hangzhou Hesign Design Gallery
No.1 Chuangyi Road.
Zhuantang Town
West Lake District
310024 Hangzhou
PR.China

Special thanks to the team at DSA and my colleagues for the amazing support and companionship.
