Crash Crucible Year 3.

Was so happy to get to compete at Crash for a 3rd year in a row. The programming is always so cool in the way it challenges capacity on practiced skills and introduces new ones to learn on the fly. Thank you @crossfitcrash and the rest of the staff and volunteers for hosting an elite level competition.

I went into the weekend with the goal of finishing top 10 and was able to place 9th overall. Thanks to @trainsentinel programming I felt more confident than ever going into each event. @taylormidself and @bryson_delmonte go above and beyond to make sure every one of their athletes has the proper warmup, strategy, and support to succeed in every event. If you are looking for a training program, @trainsentinel is definitely the best.

Year 1: 20th place…
Year 2: 14th place…
Year 3: 9th place…
Year 4:…?

Another reason to do crossfit…

While @colten_mertens is gone at a competition, I was able to hang this pegboard that has been moving to different corners around the gym for a few months now.

@crossfit has increased my confidence and ability to complete more challenging day to day tasks💪🏼

Did a pegboard workout on it after this and it’s still solidly on the wall so I’d say it’s a success! by @ally_mertens

This weekend, we had the honor of hosting a wedding💍

Colten and Ally met at The Gym in 2019, so it was only fitting to celebrate them where it all started🫶

Colt and Ally, thank you for letting us be a part of your day. We wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness, health, and lots of fitness☺️

11th Fittest Man on earth. Incredible.

Your hard work and discipline throughout the year was on display this past weekend. The way you were able to go into every workout with a clear and calm mind and execute so well across so many workouts is nothing short of amazing.

I’m so proud of how you continue to show up and get the job done and I am so excited for your future in the sport! I know you are just getting started and people better be scared of what you and @joey_toto will put together for next season.

I love you and I love cheering you on! @colten_mertens
Now let’s go get married!

Also maybe next comp we will actually get a normal picture together. by @ally_mertens

Some people are training to be the fittest on earth at the Crossfit games. I’m training for when @colten_mertens is away becoming the fittest on earth and the chores still need to be done.

Crossfit is functional fitness. Call this a max sandbag load over a wall for the day.

I’ll definitely need some @mertens_homestead_products Hog Scrub after this! by @ally_mertens
