First go at making sausages - kept it simple and low-tech and it turned out great! Used a pound of ground lamb (not at the “grind your own meat” stage yet); marinated that overnight with my fave merguez (a North African sausage) recipe; stuffed it in natural hog casings; hung sausages in fridge overnight and airfried them today. So unbelievably delicious and the whole process was pretty simple. Definitely doing this again! #blessedarethesausagemakers #sausages #merguez #lamb #nzlamb #grassfed #lambmerguez #grassfedlamb #animalbased #carnivore #carnivorediet #carnivoreish #westonaprice #speciesappropriate #keto #lowcarb #paleo #lchf #nsng #homemadesausages #saucisse #saucisson #wurst #chorizo #makeityourself #meatbased by @allycde

Flying over Alaska’s spectacular Knik Glacier 🤍🤍🤍Another incredible day hosted by @visitanchorage & @alaskahelicoptertours . And I really love these tiny four-seater aircraft - my only other experience with helicopters was with a giant old Russian military one you could literally park a bus in, and this by comparison felt as light as a dragonfly 🥰 #alaskatravel #alaskalove #discoveralaska #anchorage #visitanchorage #bucketlist #bucketlisttravel #glacier #icefield #knikglacier #glaciers #flightseeing #helicopters #helicoptertour #upintheair #besttravel #worldtraveler #travelwriting #wow_america #discoverusa #wintertravel #besthikes #worldsbest #traveladdict #officeoftheday #tv_travel #wintertravel #winterwonderland #travelphotos #glacierhike #americathebeautiful taken in Knik Glacier by @allycde

Hiking Matanuska Glacier near Anchorage, Alaska. Easily the most beautiful and thrilling hike I’ve ever done. My first time meeting a Highland Cow, the oldest and quite possibly the cutest cattle breed in the world 🤍 This was part of an incredible day organised for me by the amazing Stuart at @appetiteforangus to showcase the wonderful food and drink this beautiful area of Scotland has to offer. Will be writing some articles on it eventually but for now please enjoy this footage of the Highland Cows [ pronounced “heelan coo” in Scots ] at the Arbikie Highland Estate, where these five shaggy cuties - named Caroline, Honey, Thistle, Licorice and Pepper - eat the waste products from the farm’s whisky, gin and vodka production in true field-to-bottle fashion. And they also keep the soil healthy like only ruminant animals can 🐮 Thank you @arbikiedistellery @appetiteforangus & @visitscotland #highlandcow #highlandcows #heilancoo #arbikie #angus #angusscotland #visitscotland #whisky #scottishwhisky #regenerativeagriculture #scottishfood #scottishcuisine #scottishproduce #fieldtobottle #zerowaste #sustainablefood #whiskey #sustainability #soilhealth #ruminantanimals by @allycde

Soooo I shot some penguin p*rn in Antarctica, but it’s strictly softc*re stuff (mostly because of my ineptitude as a videographer and desire to keep moving so I wouldn’t freeze 😂 ). These were #gentoopenguin colonies in Neko Harbour and Petermann Island on the Antarctic Peninsula. The synchronised bowing is a courtship thing. And I gather the flapping / fluffing is f***play? The last video is of a third party interrupting the proceedings and the exchange of words that ensued. Could have watched these cuties for hours (and did! 🥶) #antarctica #antarctic #antarcticpeninsula #penguins #antarcticadventure #adventuretravel #southpole #luxurycruise #silversea #luxurytraveller #luxurytraveler #silverendeavour #antarcticacruise @silverseacruises #ig_travelerworld #penguins #penguinsofinstagram #penguinlove #penguinstagram taken in Antarctica by @allycde

Stumbled upon this Brutalist mid-century beaut on a walk through downtown Austin. Looked it up and it’s the Homer Thornberry Building, which was built in the 1960s as a post office; now it’s a courthouse and federal building and this sublime concrete portico is hidden behind an ugly fence. Could find very little info on the building and its architecture, which seems mostly overlooked #atx #austinarchitecture #texasarchitecture #bnwarchitecture #architectureporn #archidaily #architecturephotography #architexture #architectural #modernism #modernist #modernistdesign #brutalist #concretedesign #cement #concretelove #concretelovers #midcenturymodern #mcm #midcentury #lookingup_architecture #lookingupatbuildings #portico #organicmodern #forgottencore #overlookedbeauty #midcenturydesign taken in Austin, Texas by @allycde

The American Cement Building. Built in 1961 and cladded with this spectacular concrete exoskeleton designed by modernist sculptor Malcolm Leland.
