POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Everyone has their own way of chasing down mature whitetails with a bow. Over and over, we keep hearing how it cannot—or should not—be done on early October mornings. Time and time again, though, I keep punching my tags on some of my biggest bucks on those very mornings and passing on other opportunities.

This one was no different. As a matter of fact, he was one of numerous bucks I saw strolling back to bed, eating acorns and freshening up sign along the way.

It comes down to doing your homework, knowing what’s going on, and understanding how to access your spot so you can get in clean. Unfortunately for this buck, I was already set up in my Lone Wolf Custom Gear stand with my Hoyt AX3, ready for the shot. Andrae D’Acquisto #huntlikeawolf🐺 by @andraedacquisto
