Today my psychologist said, “Wow. I would never guess that you had these disorders based on how you present and carry yourself. It’s time for you to let your hair down.” I agreed with her full heartedly and I’m done masking how hard I grind behind closed doors.

I was finally diagnosed with GAD, CPTSD, and Bipolar 1. I’ve been battling my disorders for years.

This is most regulated I’ve ever felt since being on the right medication for two weeks.

My body is following and my muscles are filling out beautifully with shape while I easily drop weight.

I’m not unstoppable. I just don’t stay down. Although I am done pretending. I literally hustled my way into a manic episode that landed me in the hospital for 12 days.

My mother was murdered. My dad died of a heroin overdose. I still am here and with everyday I am capable, I won’t give up.

I know exactly who I am, what I want, and where I’m going. There will be bumps along the way, but nothing will stop me from becoming HER.

To everyone who has sent/shown me love - thank you for being the community I needed to keep going. I can’t and will not do this journey alone. None of us can.

So yep, I have no mom or dad. I have no cousins or grandparents. Instead I have an international community, how fucking blessed am I? More blessed than I truly will ever know.

I decided to stop doing what I “had to do” and now I’m focused on making the most of what I love to do. With every day that passes, I feel lighter and happier.

I’m right where I’m meant to be 🥹💫.

I made the decision to go all in on my passions after this photoshoot and my pro debut. I’m so happy that my first professional shoot catches a life-changing weekend for me.

I have made the most of the cards I was dealt with in life and now it’s my time to help others do the same as a coach and trainer.

For myself, I have built a foundation of habits that will carry me for the rest of my life. Now it’s time to believe that I’m worthy of a career as an athlete as well.

To believe in yourself…
To love what you do…
To love how you feel…

The latest episode of Confessions of a Bikini Pro is a very vulnerable and personal look at two journeys with Bipolar. @andria.ifbbpro opens up about a recent manic episode that led her to a bipolar 1 diagnosis and I share my own experiences with bipolar 2. It is not always easy to talk about these things because of the stigma associated with a diagnosis like this which is exactly why we had the conversation. We hope this encourages you in any mental health need you have to seek help. I also hope this episode serves as great psychoeducation and insight with information I share from my background as a clinical mental health counselor. To whoever needs to read this today: keep going. Keep going for every version of yourself that’s past and is yet to come. I am just getting started! Thank goodness my posing my has improved. 7 years really in the gym and this is just my warmup.
