Building a good body can be pretty boring. I track my workouts. I try to get stronger. I eat enough protein. I stay active. I get enough rest. And I train even when I don’t feel like it. That’s pretty much it. People spend way too much time looking for the perfect workout or diet. Pick a good plan. Stick to it. Give it time. The boring stuff works. #gym #fitness #buildmuscle #gymtips #musclegrowth fitnessjourney by @angushodic
Petition for no heavy colognes at the gym please I’m trying to workout my muscles not my nostrils #gym #cologne #fitness by @angushodic
Don’t get too caught up on the number on the scale It’s more about seeing which way your weight is trending over time. It’s not cool to just get as heavy as you possibly can. I know this from experience 😂 I used to think the heavier I got, the more muscle I was building, but that’s not how it works You don’t need to force your weight up super quick to build muscle. A slow and steady increase is more than enough The goal is to build muscle, not just get fat for no reason #bodybuilding #musclegain #buildmuscle #leanbulk #bulking by @angushodic
More calories doesn’t = more muscle. You only need a small calorie surplus to give your body what it needs to grow. Eating 1,000 calories over maintenance isn’t going to make you build muscle twice as fast, it’s just going to make you gain more fat Train hard, eat enough protein, stay in a small surplus and give it time The goal is to build muscle, not just make the scale go up. by @angushodic
Fitness doesn’t need to be complicated. You don’t need the perfect diet, the perfect training program or some secret exercise. You need a plan that works and you need to stick to it. Train consistently. Eat towards your goals. Sleep and recover. Repeat. Stop changing everything every few weeks because you think there’s something better. The basics work. You just need to do them for long enough to actually see the results. by @angushodic
A lot of people ask, “How many sets should I be doing each session?” I think the better question is: How much can you actually recover from before your next workout? More volume isn’t always better. If you’re doing so much that you’re still sore, your performance drops, or you can’t progressively overload, you’re probably doing too much. Sometimes less is more. Focus on training with intent, taking sets close to failure, and executing every rep properly. A few high-quality sets will always beat a bunch of junk volume. Train hard. Recover. Repeat. If you want help dialing in your training, nutrition, and recovery so you actually make consistent progress, DM me by @angushodic
If I had to start building muscle from scratch, I’d keep it as simple as possible. Nail execution. Get stronger. Stay consistent. Stop overthinking it. That’s what actually gets results. by @angushodic
FULL Upper back focused back day for a JUICCY BACK • T-bar row (3x8-10) • Low row (2x8-10) • Single arm cable lat pulldown (2x10-12) • Single arm cable rear felt fly (2x10-12) Finished with some bis and abs 💪 Give this a go on your next back day! #backday #buildmuscle #fatloss #fitnesscoach by @angushodic
Current Push day I’m running. Getting back some flow into my training after coming off some injuries. Not Pushing the food right now until I’m back to 100% so we’re just at maintenance. Always important not to rush back into training, so volume is still quite low for now and weights only moderate. Still recovering from quad tendinothopy so some leg sessions are too come 🙏 PUSH DAY Machine Pec Deck - 1x20 warmup Incline Machine Press - 3x10 Seated Machine Lateral Raise - 2x10 JM Press - 2x10 Rope Pushdowns - 2x 10-12 #pushday #fitnesscoaching #losefat #buildmuscles by @angushodic
Everyone wants the perfect program Almost nobody sticks with it long enough to see results Consistency will always beat perfection #fitness #gym #fatloss #buildmuscle #gymtips🐞 by @angushodic
