❤️ Celine’s Forever Home Story ❤️

Celine and her friend Bear were found abandoned inside a house in Bullard, Texas. With no one coming back for them, the two dogs wandered onto a neighbor’s property searching for food.

One kindhearted woman reached out to us for help, and of course, we said yes. ❤️

We arranged for Celine and Bear to make their way to Los Angeles, where they could receive their wellness exams and begin their journey into foster care.

Celine spent a few months with her wonderful foster mom @aqualove.tribe waiting patiently for the perfect family who would finally be hers. And then… she found them! 🥹❤️

Today, Celine has settled in very well and created a cute bond with Charger and her new family.
Celine may have had to wait a little longer than we hoped for her happily ever after, but we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect match. 🏡❤️

Her journey was a long one. She was originally pulled from the San Bernardino shelter, made her way to Bullard, Texas, and was later abandoned when her family moved. Somehow, through it all, her path eventually led her to Saving Gizmo’s Friends.

And now, she is exactly where she was meant to be.

Aurora #a5765542 from Palmdale… one of the saddest husky girls we’ve had in our foster care.
This sweet girl is approximately 6 years old and was owner-surrendered because she couldn’t be around chickens and livestock. Aurora was also sick with a URI, but she is healing very well.
From what we can see, Aurora had been kept alone and outside for a very long time. From her coat, to her anxiety and signs of depression. She is seeking human contact and attention constantly, while also fearing abandonment.
Luckily, she has an amazing foster mom who has been providing structure and love to help Aurora get back to her happy self. We are so incredibly grateful for such amazing foster parents. We wouldn’t be able to do anything without you! ❤️
We are grateful for the volunteers, the wonderful temporary foster, and her current foster mom for giving Aurora the time, space, and structure she needs to feel safe and loved. 🤍🐺

2025_01_07: It's heart-breaking to see all the homes lost. I saw a lot of people online criticizing those who didn't evacuate or claiming it's too cold for these fires to start. I can tell you that today was a very sunny, warm day. Perfect beach weather when I arrived. No wind. I didn't even realize what was going on until someone at the beach pointed out the clouds and said it was from the fires. Within 15 minutes the wind picked up so strong and fast that it was really difficult to stay on the beach. I can only assume that some of the people in these homes didn't evacuate because by the time they got the notice, the fire was on their doorstep. Not to mention all the cars that were abandoned on the streets due to the traffic to get out. Santa Ana winds are a real force! I pray for all the families and animals affected, as well for our fire fighters! 🙏
