“The time or date (twice a year) at which the sun reaches its maximum or minimum declination, marked by the longest and shortest days”

🌬️ Happy Winter Solstice 🌙

The solstices are a moment of rebirth and reflection. 2024 brought lessons in slowing down, patience, healing, and finding awareness and processing fears in/of my own body. This morning was my first visit back to Prospect Park in over 6 months, and it was an emotional one. Not only could I walk on uneven surfaces, but Mother Nature didn’t disappoint with the snowfall. The photos here of friends old and new, blanketed in snow, reminded me why I make time to be outdoors: to hear these beings sing.
