I made my hubby some tacos dorados de pollo con consomé for lunch today, and he really enjoyed them! ❤️

One thing about my husband, he never complains about what I make. He eats it all, even when I make caldo in the middle of summer! 😂 I just make sure to give him extra meat and veggies.

Now I have a question for you all… Does anyone recognize the background music? Where have you heard it before? 👀🎶

Made our mom’s Mexican donuts! ❤️🍩

Growing up, we would get SO excited whenever we saw Mom bring home a can of biscuits because we knew what was coming… homemade donuts! 😅❤️

Did anyone else grow up eating these biscuit donuts? Such a simple little treat, but they bring back the sweetest childhood memories.

I did add a little pumpkin spice to my recipe, but Mom always kept it simple with just sugar and cinnamon. Either way, they are the BEST! 😋

Nothing like the recipes and memories we grew up with. ❤️

🎃🍂 Pumpkin Spice Arroz con Leche 🍂🎃

Fall flavors with a Mexican classic! 🤎 I decided to give my arroz con leche a little fall twist by adding 100% pure pumpkin and pumpkin spice. It’s creamy, cozy, and perfect for the fall season! 🍁🥄

Ingredients:

● 2 cups of water
● 1 large cinnamon stick (canela)
● 1 cup of rice
● 1 can of evaporated milk
● 1 tablespoon of vanilla
● Pumpkin spice to taste
● 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (use as much as you like)
● 1 cup of milk
● 1 can of 100% pure pumpkin 🎃

Instructions:

1. In a pot, bring the water and cinnamon stick to a boil.
2. Add the rice, stir, cover, and let it simmer for about 5–7 minutes.
3. Add the evaporated milk, vanilla, and pumpkin spice. Stir well.
4. Add the condensed milk, regular milk, and pure pumpkin. Mix everything together until well combined.
5. Let it cook until the rice is tender and the arroz con leche reaches your desired creamy consistency. Stir occasionally.

Serve warm or chilled in your favorite cup or bowl, and sprinkle a little cinnamon or pumpkin spice on top. 🍂🤎

A little taste of fall with a touch of tradition! 🍁

¡Buen provecho! 😋🎃

🌶️ Serrano Salsa 🌶️

This salsita is fresh, flavorful, and has just the right amount of kick! 😋🔥 If you like your salsa extra picosa, just add more serranos!

Ingredients:
• 3 serranos 🌶️
• 10 tomatillos
• Salt to taste
• Black pepper to taste
• 2 large garlic cloves 🧄
• 1 tsp chicken bouillon
• Juice of 1 lime 🍋‍🟩
• A drizzle of olive oil

How to make it:

🔥 Fire roast the serranos, tomatillos, and garlic cloves with the skin on until they’re nicely roasted.

Once roasted, remove the skin from the garlic and add everything to a blender. Add the salt, black pepper, chicken bouillon, lime juice, and a drizzle of olive oil.

Blend until smooth and liquified. Give it a taste and add a little more salt if needed.

Pour into a bowl, grab your favorite food, and enjoy! 🌶️😋

🌶️ Want it more picosa? Add more serranos! 🔥

Made with love, as always. ❤️ by @armidascomidas
