We are back and pleased to invite you on Wednesday, September 30, to the opening of “All together: Goodbye Master!”, a group show with works by Andreea Anghel, Oliviero Fiorenzi, Anita Muçolli, Liselor Perez, Barbara Prenka and Dardan Zhegrova, curated by Arnold Braho. The exhibition takes as its starting point the historical, political, and symbolic role of puppets and marionettes, developing a reflection on animism and on the possibility that objects, materials, and images possess their own agency and memory. All Together: “Goodbye Master!” considers puppetry not only as a popular form of entertainment or a pedagogical tool, but as an imaginative technology capable of destabilizing power, carnivalizing the world, and staging alternative social relations. It is within this tension that the title “All together: Goodbye Master!” takes shape: a farewell to the puppeteer, and to any single principle of control, in order to imagine other forms of agency and coexistence. This winter I travelled with @borababoci and @elian.stefa to the wetlands and along the coast of Vlorë to conduct research for the project at @galeria.e.bregdetit , before the scale of the threats posed by large-scale investments in Albania’s natural areas became clear, particularly for migratory birds such as flamingos. For the exhibition Paradiz. Economies of Sand, @borababoci invited me alongside Doruntina Vinca, Edona Bylykbashi, Elian Stefa, Ervin Qafmolla, and Lekë Gjeloshi, to contribute to a publication accompanying the exhibition. Bringing together seven texts, including one by the artist, the publication explores the Albanian coast through a plurality of narratives. My contribution ‘Broken Chords Can Sing a Little’ emerged from this encounter with the landscape, connecting migratory birds to theories of exile, personal memory, and music. Through fabulation, I sought to bring together faded memories, images, and fragments, exploring how they might acquire new meanings and open up other ways of recounting the relationships between diaspora, belonging, and territory. I’m very happy to share a few shots of the works featured in All Together: “Goodbye Master!” at @artnoble_gallery , open until December 15. The curatorial research explores the different, and at times seemingly contradictory, functions the puppet has served throughout its history. On the one hand, it embodies one of the most immediate forms of animism: an object endowed with a soul, a voice, an intention, to the point of producing the illusion of a subjectivity of its own. On the other, precisely through its artificial, caricatural and disproportionate nature, the puppet has been an instrument for the carnivalisation of the world. «Addio, mascherine! 19 September 2026, 18:00h BORA BABOÇI – Paradiz. Economies of Sand Curated by Arnold Braho Paradiz. Economies of Sand by Bora Baboçi, curated by Arnold Braho, presented at Galeria e Bregdetit in the Bay of Vlorë, finds its starting point in a body of archival materials related to expeditions of the Albanian Coast carried out in the 1980s, when these territories were still largely militarized and inaccessible to public. This exhibition aims to analize the actual conditions and possible futurities of the shoreline before and after it had fully emerged as a landscape in the contemporary sense. Within this context, the project brings together a new body of work where sand becomes the guiding thread of the project: a material, an infrastructure, and a surface through which to observe the economies that shape the territory and continuously redefine both its natural and infrastructural boundaries. The accompanying publication brings together multiple voices, each opening onto a different dimension of the research. Together, they present a kind of critical fabulation around the coast, its off-season ruins, and the movements that continue beyond human presence. Here, the economy of sand is also the movement of sand itself: where is this land coming from? This exhibition was made possible through the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of Albania, with supplemental support by Hotel Picasso Radhimë. by @arnbrh

The project takes shape from a reflection on the limits of the zoological gaze and on the conditions that make encounters between species possible, questioning the dynamics of exhibition, spectacularization, and control that have historically defined the relationship between humans and animals. Natural history museums, understood as devices for the production and sharing of knowledge, have contributed to establishing the forms through which living beings are classified, made visible, and transformed into images. From taxidermy to dioramas, and through the more recent immersive and educational strategies, these institutions have exhibited animals through systems of representation that, far from presenting them as neutral presences, operate within frameworks of scientific, narrative, and visual mediation.
