I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me (2026) — Oliviero Fiorenzi @oliviero.fiorenzi
All Together: "Goodbye Master!"
Curated by @arnbrh at @artnoble_gallery | open until December 15, 2026 👥🏛️

[ENG] Viewers are often fascinated by the idea of becoming part of the artwork, or at least sensing a feeling of agency and control. However, reality is far more uncompromising. The art world is not a one-way mirror; one realm constantly feeds into the other, and on many occasions, we completely lose track of who is narrating and who is being told. Within this exhibition, the installation demonstrates that despite fleeing the puppet theater and its representation, one remains a mere element within the plot for the story to keep unfolding. Fiorenzi systematically breaks the boundary between reality and fiction, proving that "chi anima e chi è animato finiscono per coincidere".

Garden Scores by Concrete Poetry (Mark Lowe & Sarah Shin) | Provinciale 11, Italy

What does a garden sound like before it takes form?

Last week, Concrete Poetry (a new architecture~art~storytelling collaboration by Sarah Shin and I) shared our ongoing research into Garden Scores, our original design concept and methodology, with participants in the Provinciale 11 residency, as part of their garden module.

We explored gardens as places, living compositions, of memory, imagination and sensory experience through deep listening, sonic mapping and experimental scoring.

Together, we listened to the Tuscan landscape, intuitively mapped its sounds and rhythms, and translated these observations into scores. These became the beginnings of imaginary gardens, composed through sound, gesture and collective imagination and performance.

Thank you to Provinciale 11 and everyone who joined us for such a generous and thoughtful exchange.

I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me (2026). Legno dipinto. Dimensioni variabili.

“Alegoristi i mbahet fort rrënojës”

While the video shows several beaches being continuously reproduced and artificially maintained throughout the winter, sand becomes the thread running through the project: a material and a surface through which to observe the economies that shape the coastal territory and continuously redefine its natural and infrastructural boundaries, but also a paradox. Where does this earth come from? What forms of territory emerge when matter is understood as something that is constantly moved, accumulated, and redistributed? The contemporary terrain appears as something cyclical, destined to present itself in an idyllic form, as a seemingly untouched landscape that is artificially produced. All that remains for us is the allegory. “The allegorist holds tightly to the rubble.”

Excerpt from @arnbrh curatorial text for Paradiz: Economies of sand @galeria.e.bregdetit. The exhibition will be on view during off-season until April
