I just received my Edward R. Murrow award in the mail. What an honor, this prestigious journalism award!!!

Working beyond the walls of a traditional newsroom this year, I’m grateful to have been pouring my passion and decades of skills into the needs of my clients in my own video production company, and working on an independent journalism project.

Thank you to the excellent storytellers, investigative journalists, and photojournalists who have challenged me forward, and who continue to collaborate with me on important and creative projects. Thank you to my clients who are trusting me with their stories in a broad new capacity. Thank you to the thousands of people who have trusted me with their stories through these years. Holding the powerful accountable, inspiring positive change, sharing beauty in our world: it MATTERS!! ❤️

The Murrow was won with talented photojournalist @wallylurz !! Grateful for our teamwork.

Thank you @rtdna.news for all you do. #journalism #edwardrmurrow #edwardrmurrowaward #rtdna #storytelling by @ashleighpics

A beautiful, powerful night in support of @perryjcohenfoundation . Incredible how Perry’s legacy lives through the love of your mom and stepdad and so many friends and supporters. To leverage the strength of art into programs that amplify opportunities for so many children is beyond remarkable. by @ashleighpics

Spotted any bugs or critters lately?
Bonus points for photos!

This is an Eastern lubber grasshopper, according to my new entomologist friend, who you’ll meet in an upcoming story on @wpeccbs12

These beautiful grasshoppers are native to Florida, by the way! ❤️ taken in Fort Pierce, Florida by @ashleighpics

What are your favorite local places to take visitors?

A gorgeous resale shop on Palm Beach, Florida, @churchmousepalmbeach has designer clothing and accessories, fun coffee table books, a wide array of silver and art pieces - such a fun place for treasure hunters! Plus, it benefits charitable programs of @bbtschurch 🛍️ by @ashleighpics

Seeing Ashleigh Walters in the Ashleigh Coat feels especially fitting. She has spent years telling South Florida’s stories, and now she’s bringing her voice to the CBS12 evening anchor desk. She’s also an artist whose creativity reaches well beyond the newsroom. 🎨

We are so proud to dress women like Ashleigh, who lead with their own point of view and make space for every part of who they are. Congratulations on this next chapter, @ashleighpics! You look incredible.

Shop the Ashleigh Coat online or come try it on at our flagship Concept Shop. 💐

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CHILDREN’S BOOK?

When my husband and I travel, I insist we pull over to thrift shops and scour the children’s books for the most unusual, compelling, and vintage. (This pic taken in New York, June, 2026)

Many I’ve found happen to be books from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and the Dollywood Foundation. We realize it’s not just one child who received these books, it’s a second child in their home, a child who gets it from a thrift shop or garage sale, or another child who will later be read to by an adult who fell in love with reading! 📖 A great reminder on Dolly Parton Day (9-25, get it? “Workin’ 9 to 5”)

Can we also appreciate the sweet drawings in there sometimes?! Extra points. 🥹 by @ashleighpics
