They say it takes a village, and this Becoming Her: Rooted in Legacy project is proof of that🥹🙏🇨🇩✨

One of my favorite parts of creating is bringing talented people together. I’m a connector at heart, and I truly believe the best things happen when we collaborate and let everyone’s unique gifts shine. I’m so thankful for every person who poured their time, creativity, and talent into this project. Becoming Her is about more than one person. It’s about the power of creating something bigger together. Also, we just hit $2,000 raised for the Ebola Outbreak in the DRC! I am so thankful for this community and how we show up!!! We are on the road to hitting our goal queens!

Working on The Devil Wears Prada Reimagined project with @lifeoftanyamarie and so many other talented black creatives was pure joy. This wasn’t just about recreating iconic scenes from a movie we love. It was about representation and showing what’s possible when black creatives come together. There’s so much magic that can only come from collaborating others and I hope we continue to see more across all creators/influencers. So if you only take one thing from watching this project, let it be this: let go of the gatekeeping and the competition. Choose collaboration because there’s room for everybody - I promise. Mkay bye! 🫶🏾

It’s been one year since I launched @thrivingincolor ! 🎉

I’ve learned so much about who I am, the impact I want to make, and how I want to do it. To my clients, thank you for putting your faith in me and trusting me to help grow your businesses. It is not something I take lightly.

My personal goal this past year was to prove to myself that I could run a business, doing something I love/makes an impact, and support myself, my family, and the life we want to live.

AND I DID IT ALL! 👏🏾

I recently had the opportunity to moderate a panel at the annual @owningyourinfluence brunch and I swear I can still feel the energy from that room. ✨

Over 150 women with so many different stories but all invested in themselves and showed up with the same purpose - to learn, build community, and grow their influence.

If you attended the brunch or you recently were inspired by something that lit a fire under you to take that next step, do it! Don’t let that fire die out, use it to fuel your dreams. 💕
