Askonas Holt is delighted to welcome @guy_cutting_tenor to the roster for worldwide general management.

The British tenor this month joined the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra for a performance of Britten’s Les Illuminations and Tom Coult’s Black Shuck Lament. He follows this with an international tour of Handel’s Theodora with the Monteverdi Orchestra and Choir singing Septimus, and also tours Europe later this season with RIAS Kammerchor singing the Evangelist in St Matthew Passion – a role for which he is highly sought. Spring brings his debut with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks with Sir Simon Rattle for Bach’s Cantata 78, and a Wigmore Hall recital with his brother, counter-tenor Hugh Cutting.

Guy returned this summer to the BBC Proms with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Peter Whelan. Last season also saw a performance at Carnegie Hall with the Handel + Haydn Society led by Jonathan Cohen, as well as a tour of Europe with Collegium Vocale Gent and Philippe Herreweghe – with whom he is a regular collaborator.

Guy appears on numerous critically acclaimed recordings; Cappella Amsterdam's Stravinsky Late Works and Irish Baroque Orchestra's Messiah were both selected as Gramophone Editor's Choice and BBC Music Magazine Choral Choice, and his recording of Gabriel Jackson’s The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ won in the Choral category at the 2020 BBC Music Magazine Awards. Guy's debut album of English song will be released in 2027.

A special evening celebrating the launch of the Yannick Nézet-Séguin Mentorship Program, hosted by @rolex and our @ynsmentorship team.

In their formal education, young conductors spend years immersed in the music, as they should. But the role of a music director is about so much more than what happens on the podium. It takes vision, trust, and the ability to bring people together around a shared purpose. We need to create more opportunities for the next generation of conductors to develop these skills, to grow not only as artists, but as leaders.

Ready to take the next step as a conductor? Submit your application for the Yannick Nézet-Séguin Mentorship Program by November 15 at mentorship.yannicknezetseguin.com.

Askonas Holt is delighted to welcome @sunwook.kim_official to the roster for worldwide general management.

Building on two decades performing at the highest level as a pianist, he has emerged as a conductor in increasing international demand. Sunwook makes his subscription debut conducting the Rotterdam Philharmonic next month, and across the season he continues to play-direct concerti and conduct symphonies from Beethoven to Mahler in a single programme, including with the BBC Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland. He also conducts London’s Philharmonia Orchestra for the first time on tour to Korea.

Recent conducting highlights include debuts with the Bamberger Symphoniker, the Israel Philharmonic, Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, which resulted in several immediate re-invitations. He also often conducts Seoul Philharmonic, Bournemouth Symphony, Norwegian Radio and Taipei Symphony.

Sunwook regularly play-directs the Beethoven concerti, most recently on an extensive tour of Europe and Korea with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, with concerts in Berlin, London, Toulouse, Eisenstadt, and Seoul.

As a soloist, Sunwook has appeared in the subscription series of the world’s leading orchestras, including the Berliner Philharmoniker, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Staatskapelle Dresden, Chicago Symphony and the NHK Symphony. Last season he returned with the Berliner Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko on tour in Korea, playing Schumann’s Piano Concerto to critical acclaim.

As a recitalist he has appeared on the world’s finest stages, and presents the complete cycle of Beethoven Piano Sonatas across eight concerts with the Seoul Arts Center in 2027, marking the Beethoven anniversary year.

@gustavodudamel and the @nyphilharmonic this month embarked on their first tour since the conductor took up the helm of the orchestra at the start of the season. The two-week, ten-concert adventure saw performances in Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Berlin, with concerts in Hamburg and Vienna this week, marking the orchestra’s first to Europe in almost a decade.

Repertoire included the Fifth Symphonies by both Mahler and Prokofiev, European premieres of new works by Tania León and Zosha Di Castri, and, to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11, John Adams’ Pulitzer Prize–winning On the Transmigration of Souls, premiered by the orchestra in 2002.

The tour follows previous collaborations with Askonas Holt which saw tours to Asia in 2025 with Esa-Pekka Salonen, as well as in 2024, 2023 and 2019 with Jaap van Zweden. Askonas Holt is also proud to continue our longstanding partnership with Gustavo Dudamel following years of touring with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, including at this year’s FIFA World Cup 2026 Halftime Show which saw members of the SBSOV join Dudamel and musicians from the New York Philharmonic to perform before a global audience of millions.

💕“For me, it’s simple: I love these musicians and I have never been happier.” – Sir Simon Rattle
And the feeling is mutual. For the musicians of the BRSO and Chorus, his contract extension is much more than a formal agreement – it’s a shared belief that music can bring people together and create community across borders and differences.
