General Assembly ( @gen_assembly ) oversaw the renovation and interiors of an early 1900s farmhouse in the historic village of Orient on the North Fork of Long Island. A year-round retreat for a Manhattan family of four, the renovation restores the history and character lost to decades of additions, while reimagining the home for how they live today.⁠

Our latest iteration of The Residence at 144 Vandebilt Ave marks the first collaborative project between Assembly Line and Los Angeles-based design studio Kalon, anchored by an expansive installation of their furniture. Favoring restraint, craft, and tactile richness, Kalon’s pieces foreground honest materials, warmth, and objects designed to age with time.⁠
