This might be the best summer yet ✨ The past couple of months I’ve had trips to Italy, Portugal and Spain. A family day out at the races. Drank copious amounts of cocktails and wine. Eaten out in lots of new restaurants. Taken more time for hobbies and fun. 📍Tenji in Derby is a newly opened Japanese restaurant offering sushi, ramen, donburi and many more traditional Japanese dishes. I was invited down to try out their menu… this is now my favourite spot for Japanese food in Derby! The staff were really friendly and the food was all cooked so well. The portions are all generous and the dishes are affordable. We tried numerous plates of sushi, katsu chicken curry, chicken karaage, tempura prawns, pork donburi and salt and pepper chips. My top three favourites were the tempura prawns, chicken katsu curry and the Green Dragon sushi rolls. It is tucked away on East Street in the city centre, so make sure you pop in next time you’re in the area. 24 hrs in Greece 🇬🇷 Enough time to sample Greek cuisine, see the main sights and explore the ancient streets of Athens. Our 24 hours in Greece started in the evening, where we wandered the streets looking for street art. Athens is a global hub for street art and you can find magnificent murals on almost every corner. Some are even on the sides of buildings 6 stories high! We dined in a traditional Greek restaurant where we ate lamb klefitko and chicken souvlaki. Followed by fully loaded Greek yoghurt from @chillboxgreece - followed by drinks in the quaint tavernas dotted along the streets, with a sunset over the Acropolis. The next morning we went to the Acropolis Musuem, followed by the Acropolis site itself, to see the Acropolis, the Parthenon and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. It was a sight to see ruins of a civilisation that is 2,500 years old! 24 hours is a whistle stop tour!
