Sunday morning PUB run, first part with Isaac. Saw a woodpecker and there were multiple wildlife road blocks this morning. This is where it starts. 👀

Back on site at Singapore Wake Park, walking the grounds, planning the layout, figuring out where everything goes and making sure FAM THE AURA comes together properly.

Wakeboarding. Muay Thai. Challenges. Ice baths. Brands. Music. Kids activities. Lucky draws.

And most importantly, a day for everyone to come together and celebrate Aura Shades turning 2. 🕶️🌴

Happy birthday to me. 🎂🇸🇬

Another year older, a little wiser, and still choosing the trails that challenge me, the dreams that scare me, and the people who make every journey worthwhile.

I’ve crossed mountains, battled injuries, led with purpose, cooked with love, and raised a family with pride—somehow still smiling through the climbs. Life hasn’t always given me a smooth path, but it has given me strong legs, a stubborn heart and countless reasons to keep moving forward.

As President of the Singapore UltraRunners Association, I’m grateful for the privilege of serving this incredible community—helping our runners dream bigger and watching Singapore’s flag fly proudly on trails around the world. Leadership, like ultrarunning, is never about reaching the summit alone. It is about bringing others along and helping them discover just how far they can go.

None of this journey has been mine alone. To my family, thank you for your love, patience and unwavering support—even when “I’m going for a short run” turned into several hours. To my friends, thank you for believing in me, encouraging the crazy dreams and standing beside me through every high and low.

To everyone who believed in the vision of SURA—our committee, volunteers, athletes, officials, partners and the wider trail-running community—thank you for sharing the dream and helping us build something Singapore can be proud of. And to our sponsors, thank you for believing in our athletes, supporting our mission and giving us the opportunity to carry our flag further.

Every summit, milestone and proud moment has been made more meaningful because it was shared with all of you.

Here’s to another year of chasing summits, lifting others and remembering that the best chapters are rarely found on the easy trails.

Older? Definitely. Wiser? Hopefully. Slower? Let’s blame the technical terrain. 😄

RunNUS 10km | 🥇 Place 🏆

Hot, hazy and hilly. At times I genuinely felt like the old uncle being chased by fast students! This was fun and I didn’t really look at my watch or worry about pace so it was a lovely surprise to take the win given there were 1300 runners on the start line.
Big shout out to @reyes_hrx for pushing me hard!!!!

The more I race, the more I realise that having purpose makes me dig that little bit deeper and push a little harder. To inspire my kids and make them proud. To lead by example for our wonderful Singapore Falcons community. And to give something back to the brands who have put their faith in me and supported me.

I’m proud and privileged to represent brands I genuinely believe in, brands I loved and used long before they ever sponsored me.

T8 — Incredible gear, plain and simple. I still haven’t found a better running short than the Sherpa, and the Ice Tee remains my go-to for the tropics. Lightweight, breathable, built for our conditions.

Xtep — The 160X 8.0 Ultra might be the best version yet. Light, snappy, aggressively propulsive. Fast and furious. One of the quickest shoes I’ve had the pleasure of racing in.

Aura Shades — for me, the perfect pair of running shades. Comfortable, secure, made for the miles.

Thank you to NUS for the complimentary entry and for putting on a great event. My first time racing RunNUS, and hopefully not my last.

But the best part of today was sharing it with Jess and the kids. Prizes, podiums and medals are lovely. The cool memory is what I’ll actually remember though.
