AUTUMNAL SPINDLES ARE LIVE!!
I think there are some really cute ones this time. We've got a new color, this glittery periwinkle blue. And the Halloween-y acorns fron last year got a stiped shaft upgrade! Theyre kinda magical.

Hello Dashers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Batty here, how is everyone post tour? Are we stretching? Who's still spinning away? Anyone doing Tour de Femme?

Tour de Fleece 2026 went so fast. I feel like most folks had a very chill time this year. Maybe we all just needed a little bit of an intentional rest.

Thank you everyone for participating and helping one another. I am so grateful for this community and the joy and knowledge we share. I can't imagine a more giving and supportive community. Thank you all for being generous with your knowledge and your woolly goods.

Here's the 2026 stats. That is our record so far! The most Dashels yet.

If you didn't get a chance to put your stats in please tell us how much you spun in the comments. (I dare you to give us your yarn weight in baby hedgehogs instead of grams. do it, you won't)

Tour De Fleece 2026 is officially done! Amazing spinning all you wonderful Stash Dashers. I spun a little bit less quantity-wise than I expected, but took on some REAL ambitious projects.

1. My 176.4 grams of yarn. Some of it is still singles. I am counting that, it got spun. The four larger skeins are Days from @mellyknits Great Guts Adventure 2025 that I have been slowly working thru. The mini skeins are embroidery floss. (😱) and the spindles up top are (left) my ATTEMPT at spinning thick. (right) Shepherd's Hay wool hand-washed and lock popped by @abrennalinerush

Yes, all these skeins are spindle spun AND plied. That was not a conscious design choice, it just happened. We had kind of a busy month and all my projects seemed to be constantly on the go.
BOTTOM -My first Amu Bleu spindle and the wild combing experiment I made from the Guts: Fine Jacob and Mulberry Silk

3. I was spinfluenced to get combs by @pacificcoasterfibres and @whatvivdoes . These are the beautiful new handmade Forsyth combs and their table clamp. I am in love.

Bo Peep from Notlwonk Farms, hand washed by me. combed by me. This yarn is surprisingly pretty and drapey.

Lustre Flock and Cashgora - no surprise to the seasoned combers, the cashgora didnt really make it into this yarn in a big way. This advent was designed to be carded, so I shouldn't seen that coming.

CVM and Angora - same issue here with the Angora, This is mostly beautiful hand combed CVM. and we're fine with that.

Fine Jacob and Mulberry Silk - this one i did a pass on combs and then lasagna'd in the silk for a VERY weird and cool spin. i had a few chunky silk veins from not being super careful with my layering. but mostly wonderful.

6. 3 Colors of Spindle Spun Embroidery Floss in dyed Irish Wool. Yes I spun these on a drop spindle. I am crazy but I am free.

7. TOP- The little nugget of combed Jacob and Silk. These were such cool little objects. I'm obsessed with hand combing nuggets.

Happy July 5th, the official beginning of Halloween.
Yes I bought the ikea halloween light this week. Why do you ask?
I just finished my hand washed, hand combed (🫪!!!) Polworth spin from @pacificcoasterfibres it is SOFT and very fluffy. I spindle spun and plied. Its a pretty fine two ply? Maybe fingering weight in the skin? But like PUFFY. This will likely be a set of very warm and soft mitts at some point when i feel like knitting again.
Gotta find a new project already on this, the second day of @mellyknits Stash Dashin' TDF. Lol.

My weekend spinning:
@pacificcoasterfibres hand combed, hand washed polworth
The second one is one of my Guts Advent spins, but i dont have the tag on me. I hand carded it and am spinning it heckin woolen, leaving all the lumps and bumps.

im so in love with these Scribble Spindles. The colors look fab with natural wool and they are so nice to wrap.
so freakin excited to send all the ones im printing away at right now out to their new homes! I know yall are gonna love them too by @battyfibers

Summer Solstice spindles are here!!!
