Tour De Fleece 2026 is officially done! Amazing spinning all you wonderful Stash Dashers. I spun a little bit less quantity-wise than I expected, but took on some REAL ambitious projects.
1. My 176.4 grams of yarn. Some of it is still singles. I am counting that, it got spun. The four larger skeins are Days from @mellyknits Great Guts Adventure 2025 that I have been slowly working thru. The mini skeins are embroidery floss. (😱) and the spindles up top are (left) my ATTEMPT at spinning thick. (right) Shepherd's Hay wool hand-washed and lock popped by @abrennalinerush

Yes, all these skeins are spindle spun AND plied. That was not a conscious design choice, it just happened. We had kind of a busy month and all my projects seemed to be constantly on the go.
BOTTOM -My first Amu Bleu spindle and the wild combing experiment I made from the Guts: Fine Jacob and Mulberry Silk
3. I was spinfluenced to get combs by @pacificcoasterfibres and @whatvivdoes . These are the beautiful new handmade Forsyth combs and their table clamp. I am in love.

Bo Peep from Notlwonk Farms, hand washed by me. combed by me. This yarn is surprisingly pretty and drapey.
Lustre Flock and Cashgora - no surprise to the seasoned combers, the cashgora didnt really make it into this yarn in a big way. This advent was designed to be carded, so I shouldn't seen that coming.
CVM and Angora - same issue here with the Angora, This is mostly beautiful hand combed CVM. and we're fine with that.
Fine Jacob and Mulberry Silk - this one i did a pass on combs and then lasagna'd in the silk for a VERY weird and cool spin. i had a few chunky silk veins from not being super careful with my layering. but mostly wonderful.
6. 3 Colors of Spindle Spun Embroidery Floss in dyed Irish Wool. Yes I spun these on a drop spindle. I am crazy but I am free.
7. TOP- The little nugget of combed Jacob and Silk. These were such cool little objects. I'm obsessed with hand combing nuggets.

8. Turtle butt shot of the Amu Bleu and Jacob plied.

Love the Jacob silk one the way the colours pop out is so fun! Also all the spins in progress photos! They look great! The fact that you prepped and spun on your spindles is very cool. 💕 Well done!
